  2. Nope, I got that fish a couple of days before CNY, it's with a friend for safekeeping now. My tank is FISHLESS atm. It's a JBJ 24 gallon cube with IOS. I'm using the following equipment: Tunze 9002 nano skimmer Rio 6HF pump Hailea 1/10 chiller Vortech MP10 wavemaker Custom LED lights by Sherman built into the canopy. Thank you Sherman, happy CNY to you too! LOL! No lah! Skip the first few lines of the sales thread, I was just joking... But I'm really selling the tank to start afresh! Nope, no upgrade. Will be a similar set up, but TOPLESS Sadly I'm sticking to a nano tank for now hahaha. Will commission a rimless acrylic or glass tank with IOS and a slightly larger water volume than the 24G. Any recommendations for cheap and good tankmakers?
  3. This sums up my thoughts on the bidding system. I also want! LOL! (half joking.. but I do want to see your tank in person some day ) Best idea so far. I second the motion to appoint Jacky as our indian chief.
  4. Beautiful favia once again! Peter and Ray must fight it out for the title of Ric King, but you are the one and only Lord Favia hahahaha!
  5. I've got the cordless one, with the cutting bit and some small diameter drill bits. How big is the hole you need to cut?
  6. Hi everyone, thanks for the interest. Most of the items have already been spoken for. Left a few items like mushroom rocks, sea fan and leather corals. Sorry if I failed to reply any PMs, I received too many on the same subject I lost track of which to reply. Peter, the coris will be reserved for u. I'll prob catch it next week.
  7. Hehehe. Thanks for the up, and happy cny everyone! I have decided to sell the tank and light set now. I'm looking at a price of around $400, negotiable if you have a fair alternative to my asking price. Electricity tariffs went up again, here's a good investment which will pay off in the long run with lower electric bills $_$
  8. Wow, your rescaping is a success! Really pleasant looking and practical, you'll have no problems keeping it nice and clean
  9. Chey I thought how come your eyes so sharp, then I realised I was the one who told you that the mouth turn blue! Hahaha! Old already D:
  10. Update on my nano: Did a massive water change in case of toxins, and minor touch up to the rock scape. Bought a lone nak-ed clown. Looking sad and lonely My new toy , which unfortunately I will never get to play with in a fully stock tank soon...
  11. Ah thanks Lemon! I didn't see that pic in the first page of results, what I saw was the same liveaquaria image. But I agree with comy, the blue one is nicer
  12. April 15 Update: Lost all old PMs and the list of people who are interested in the tank. So putting this up for sale again this time with cabinet. To repeat my original thread, this tank comes without the hood/canopy or lights. The LED modded lights have been sold. It is an open top 24 gallon JBJ nanocube tank with surface skimmer attachment and hydor flo water deflector, 700l/h pump. The JBJ cabinet is is not the 24 gallon one with full door, but the 28G one with an open bottom for storage or placement of chiller with proper ventilation. Picture below is taken from the net, ignore the tank, the cabinet is what I have. Separate sale price: 24G nanocube tank only - $50 28G nanocube cabinet - $80 Tank and cabinet and freebies: $120 I also have a Tunze 9002 skimmer with brand new pump and modified skimmer cup (to fit the IOS compartment) selling very cheap that is currently reserved, will include this with the tank set at a special price if buyer backs out.
  13. I did a search for red mandarin pics but got the normal green ones, and I thought that there weren't any or my search term was not accurate. Turns out that I was looking right at them!!! IMO the red ones are not particularly striking or different enough to excite me
  14. No la it's like a pressure timer, stress him into posting a FTS if not we take his thread hostage LOL! But it should be no surprise there's so much banter here, Jacky is a friendly chap and the tank is so nice, no surprise everyone like to comment here haha!
  15. Really nice zoas! Are they from the indo shipment at iwarna?
  16. The rat played out the ox and won the race mah. I would never have guessed that Ray is younger than me... either that or he is 10 years older than me and looks super young haha!
  17. Tiger meh? I would have thought rooster, cos you talk so much c.........
  18. Anyone been to marine life lately? Wanna drop by later, but don't know if Henry still has any ls left.
  19. WOW. That definitely got my attention. The chiobu better not be an ah kua like somebody's avatar! Hahaha! Thanks for the well wishes and good humour everyone! *goes to weekly LFS stocks report
  20. Unlikely to be eletricity, though they did die in a strange way. The body was perfect and normal looking as if they were sleeping on the sand bed, the narcissus snails and shrimps didn't attempt to consume the carcass. Usually they would be gasping or having difficulty breathing if thats the case, but the fishes were all super active before I found them dead. Now I am thinking whether to carry on with this tank, leave it empty for a while, or just get a new one altogether. A part of me wants to just decom, but that's probably the stress talking.
  21. Thanks for the concern and encouragement everyone. RBTA is fine so far, in fact, all inverts are fine so far. If it is ammonia poisoning, the shrimps would be the first to go, after corals. Water parameters are okay, just did a 30% water change last Sunday. Fishes were active and feeding just a short while before dying.
  22. All the fishes died within a couple of hours, I am still investigating the cause, but yah everything was wiped out except for one clown fish. I'm not so much affected that it's near CNY, but it's the fact that they were some really beautiful fish that have been with me for almost a year. Flame hawk, feeding mandarin (veteran from my 12g tank!), purple goby, and the recent nak-ed clown and neon goby... all dead
