  1. Forgot to add, the product is washed and dried, and put back into the packaging. FCFS, but priority will be given to bros here I've dealt with before.
  2. Hi all, Bought the Dymax wave deflector for $10 two weeks ago, and had a frustrating experience with it. Decided to give it away to anyone with the DIY skills or luck to make this thing work. Shouldn't have been a cheapskate and just bought the Hydor Flo right from the start To clue you in on what you are getting (a review I didn't read before buying), read this review here: "Dymax wave deflector, warning: try not to use" Official website for product: Dymax Wave Deflector Collection in Woodlands, late evenings. PM me if interested, thanks for looking!
  3. !!! Don't top up evaporated water with sea water! Use distilled water
  4. Wow, that means you have come to a happy conclusion in your LED testing?
  5. HAHAHA! That's what my watchman goby did yesterday morning. I think I forgot to feed the tank the day before, and when I spotted 3 inches of the bristleworm sticking out, the goby whacked it before I could even reach my tweezers! Still got one bobbit worm in the tank though... That one hard to get rid of, already killed one marble starfish and one cleaner shrimp in the past week. Anyone had success trapping it with market prawn and stockings?
  6. From the large spines on the dorsal fins, it looks like its venomous. With the ridges and texture on the body, it looks like some kinda scorpionfish, but I might be wrong (most likely wrong la, I is noob to marine fish ), so don't quote me on that hahaha. But better play safe and not handle it with bare hands until some kind senior reefer IDs it
  7. Thread closed, thanks for all queries and interest!
  8. Hi Mitlancer, I really admire your honesty in your previous mistakes and your never-say-die commitment to keep your LS thriving in an allegedly failed tank design. Hope the upgrades and mods work out for your tank inhabitants, looking great so far!
  9. Checked on the sand this morning, starting to have a light waft of smell coming out due to opened package, no longer vacumn sealed. Will give the sand FOC to whoever can come collect it by tomorrow morning, if not will throw it out. Thanks for reading
  10. Oh one more thing, off topic but don't wanna start a new thread... I have been in sms contact the past 2 weeks with 2 or 3 bros here on the trade forum, arranged to buy or view their corals, but my phone completely hung last week and had to reset it at service centre, no longer have your numbers. With the exception of bro Alberted, I have failed to contact the others cos I didn't save my "sent" PMs on the forum and have been busy lately so didn't dig thru the threads to find the nicks of the bros involved A thousand apologies for my ninja pilot behaviour to the bros affected if you are able to read this or recognise my nick
  11. Bought from AM early this week with a discount due to it being slightly past the stated expiry date. Used half of it in my 12G nano tank after doing a smell check (no decomposition! ), and no obvious spike in ANN cycle... I guess the sand is still "alive" then. It's a 20lb bag of sand. About half a bag left, has been opened for 2 days and has been kept in an airtight container. Enough to fill 1.5 inch of sand bed in a small nano tank. Asking for $12, collection at my place in woodlands. Also willing to accept trades for LS, mainly looking to build up my clean up crew. Will give around 2-3kg of normal grade 00 sand (unused) FOC with purchase of the above item Please PM me to deal, hope to sell it before the week is over. Link to product info.
  12. Hi bro, sms-ed you, no reply... on new year holiday? Hope the item is still available
  13. I ever witnessed a clown fish dragging a seahorse and stuffing him into the anemone! Keep them in a separate tank with slow current, they are defenseless against other livestock in the tank.
  14. Thanks again bro, for the good deal and nice friendly transaction for the nice corals!
  15. Anyone buying the above and willing to sell me a small portion? Only need a small bagful, around 2kg... Do PM me if anyone willing to share
  16. Two thumbs up for friendly and patient seller!
