Actually it doesn't suck out the water, the water is pumped through a filter sock which catches the debris.

Compact and powerful, can fit it your tank I think, I managed to fit it into the back compartment of my nano tank with little problem. Also, I find that water change with natural sea water does wonder for the recovery of corals.

Unintended consequence of LED lights, reduction in NO3!!!: Two weeks without water change, last measured at 5ppm, but instead of increasing, it shows 2.5ppm now . Usually measures at 10ppm after 2 weeks of heavy feeding. Why unintended? Guess where the nutrients went? Hair algae on the top most rock and chaeto growth, hahahaha! Win some lose some.

Scrub with toothbrush. Sometimes I will spray it down with a hose to get rid of gunk trapped in the crevices, the worms and sometimes crabs will come out. That's what I do for newly bought liverocks la.

Faded colours can recover, just need patience and maintain the water parameters. I usually cut my losses early and remove all the polyps that seems shrunken and dying, so it won't spread to the healthier ones. Zoa care you need to ask the pros like ambystoma . Did the radioactive greens that I passed you survive? I remember there was a couple of fallen off frags in the tank haha.

Uh you shouldn't underestimate the pressure from the water, especially in a big tank. I brushed aside a 1 drop a second leak when it appeared on a 4x2x2.5 tank, and within 2 weeks the leak burst open into a waterfall. Rock bonder is brittle and definitely not waterproof if you are gonna let it cure underwater. best to dry the tank out and reseal it. Short term savings can hurt you in the long term.

What kind of light, switch on for how long a day, how far away from the light are the zoas? Most likely it's insufficient lighting, a tell tale sign is overly extended stems from reaching out for more light. But then again, I've had success with some zoas, but fail with others under the same condition. Some do well in super clean water, some thrive in nitrate rich water, dunno why also haha. Dose vitamin C if all else fails, worked well for me so far. Anyway, zoas don't "spread across the tank" so easily, my fastest growing zoas grow at a rate of 2 small polyps every 3 weeks, I don't know what's the average speed, but to grow completely across the tank, I think it would take months or years.

Yah talking about the algae creeping up the glass haha. That always irritates me a lot, but no such problem now ever since I changed back to natural sea water. Anyway the reflection should be minimal since you shot at f2.8, when you focus on the rocks instead of the glass, the reflection should be cut back by the shallow depth of field. But yah, shooting FTS in total darkness is the best haha.

Looks like your tank needs some scrubbing Scrap the algae with a credit card, worked wonders for me. edit: Just saw the moonlight shot, can see the tripod reflection LOL
