  1. How do you know for sure it's the fan now? As for repair, depends on the damage, if the fan is broken, then replace. For repair, I believe I told you to contact derrick from pacific coo yesterday. You should google such things yourself and not keep asking repeatedly for people to handfeed you the information Google "pacific coo chiller" I think it's the 3rd or 4th result.
  2. Aiyah, I thought I had a case of deja vu when I saw the pic, then I remembered that you msg me to tell me some time back I was too busy to reply! Hahahaha! Yah I agree, my pink bubble turned from light pink/white to solid pink after 2 or 3 months of strong light.
  3. I think you must have mistaken them for damsels is it haha, the price of this one is close to 40x blue damsels. No lah, they are very peaceful and quite hardy. My flame hawk whacked one of them last night, they are still swimming around like nobody's business.
  4. Sorry ligerton, reserved for kikobananas at the moment Wah seh, I didn't know I'd get so much interest in this coral. I should have been more thick skin and asked for a higher price in the first post haha. (At the most if cannot sell, I will say sold to my uncle )
  5. Sorry datenshi, comcyus and lemon... Bubble reserved by someone from whom I am supposed buy something from tomorrow. Priority goes to him, to cut down all my trades to one transaction But lemon, next time got such nice frags let me know hahaha!
  6. New purchases from ML today! Tiny tuxedo urchin to take care of my hair algae problem. My algae blenny will be fired from his job effective next Tuesday hahaha. Yellow fin blue chromis, according to Henry, it's from Mauritius shipment. They looked so beautiful schooling in his show tank. Quite ex, I can only afford 2 hahaha. My new favourite fish in my tank at the moment.
  7. RBTA has finally settled down and recovered, thanks to the tender loving care from my false perc.
  8. Flame hawk kaypoh-ing again. He enjoys photo bombing my shots. Finally, the purple goby is not as nervous and fidgety anymore. First clean shot I have of this bugger.
  9. Been a long while since my last update. Nothing exciting going on in my tank till this week Red monti frag from fragmaster 2 or 3 weeks back. Doing quite well actually. Except that my fat fingers suck at gluing/epoxy. Lime green monti frag from vt_snowman87. Don't dare to glue it onto rocks yet haha. The 2 frags under royal blue LED.

  11. The "boom boom" is probably caused by faulty/broken fan since you mentioned that the water is not chilling. You should switch it off if you haven't already. As for the replacement cost of the fan, at that price you top up a little might as well buy sunny03's chiller if it is in a good condition. This is only my guess based on the problems you described.
  12. As stated, pink bubble coral, selling at $20 or highest offer. Bought it at $25 ten months ago, grew from fist sized to open palm size. Very nice and symetrical shape, made up of 3 heads back to back forming a hemispherical shape. Has an extra baby head growing out at one corner. Letting go as it is growing too big for my tank, wanna free up space for other corals. PM me for details, collection at woodlands. I am willing to accept trades for other similar value nano sized livestock or partial trades for a few nice pieces of small sized live rocks.
  13. Hanor... hanor... I'm a bit busy lately to post regularly, but i never fail to look out for the weekly 1000litre show
  14. According to a highly regarded documentary on aquarium life I watched, the tank inhabitants will hold meetings at night to plan their escape. Here is a screen grab of the documentary:
  15. http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23011 An old thread from another local forum in 2006. Actually if you still don't believe that it's not 75 watts, the best way to verify is to call local distributor to check
  16. Although I highly doubt your claim, if this is true, I'm getting myself an Arctica chiller this week The daeil document you linked states that the compressor is rated at 75 watts, but what about the fan and other components of the chiller? Only way you can be sure of the true wattage consumed is to run it on a power meter to measure. If anyone has an Arctica chiller I don't mind loaning a power meter to see if it really draws only 75 watts when operating.
  17. This is the result of a phishing attack on your friend's hotmail account. Remember those random messages on your msn that links to a site that supposedly shows you who is blocking you, or check out some pics or something like that? Then they will ask that you log into your account? DO NOT EVER ENTER YOUR HOTMAIL EMAIL AND PASSWORD ONTO A SITE THAT IS NOT RELATED TO HOTMAIL! These emails and passwords will be stored onto a server and the scam artist will have FULL access to your email and can do anything or read anything you saved or sent on it, including banking details or love letters hahaha. That's why I only use my hotmail to tcss on msn Those who are sending out these emails or msn messages to you probably fell for such scams at some point in time, and the scammers are using the email and password he/she entered onto the site to pose as your friend so that there's a higher chance of you falling for the same trick. Every time one of my friends sends me such a message on msn even when I know they are supposed to be offline, I know that it's a scammer and I will inform my friends privately to change their passwords. Yep, this can be avoided if you change your passwords regularly and don't visit fishy websites. Do spread the word
  18. The information must be wrong, let's say for the 1/20 chiller, it's impossible that it consumes around the same wattage as a light bulb right? Arctica has superior performance over other china made ones, but I don't think power savings it's so drastic. The efficiency comes from the cooling reservoir and titanium coil which keeps the water chilled longer. The daeil website probably represented 1/10hp as 75 watts by dividing 1hp (745W) by 10, which is not how the actual power consumption is rated.
  19. Definitely not 75 watts... That's even less consumption than a standing fan or toaster LOL. Wattage is calculated not by dividing 750 watts by 10 directly - that is a common misconception: Anyway I can't find the 75 watts you are referring to on the website, the official JBJ Arctica site is here: http://www.jbjlighting.com/prod-arctica-aquarium.html I think this is 115V as used in America, in Singapore it's 220V, so checking local distributor for the actual wattage is more reliable. To answer your question, it's 350 watts, 1.6A according to AM's website: http://www.aquamarin.com.sg/productsDetail.asp?productid=51
  20. Bro no offence, but you seem to have purely commercial interests in your participation in this forum. Out of 13 threads you started, 11 are sale threads, 1 is a nano tank thread and 1 is asking the price of a coral. Maybe that's why Sunny03 responded with such a skeptical tone with this thread; I would too Your first thread here:
  21. Oh dear. I hope it is not as kinky as it sounds... Haha. Sorry bro, didn't mean to intrude on your sale thread, but your title is too funny not to comment
