  1. It's a 4ft x 2ft x 2ft tank right? Easier to refer to in imperial scale rather than centimeters. What gave you the idea that all LED fixtures are squarish? You will find that there are a lot of options for 4ft tanks. Lumen Aqua has a 4ft fixture, and Maxspect has a 80cm fixture. These are two of the more popular commercial fixtures available here.
  2. Maxspect 60W is squarish, hence the light is spread evenly in a square. Yours is a 2ft x <1ft x <1ft, the light won't cover the side of the tank.
  3. Very drool worthy and reasonable price considering how rarely seen they are! Too bad I can't extend financial support for your sale, do accept my humble moral support in the form of: UPZ for your sale bro!
  4. I think he means live ones(?) and not your mass murdered nudis lolol.
  5. LED for 3ft tank with SPS will require decent LED lights. I believe the aquazonic clip lamp is like 0.5W per LED or something, too weak.. more suitable for FOWLR.
  6. A hole literally opened up in the sky and poured rain lol. Within 5 mins the rain was directly above me.
  7. You are very vague with the information so I'm going to assume you will be keeping the standard LPS and soft corals. You also didn't mention what kind of LED you are talking about. DIY? Ready made? DIY For 2 ft height you will need 3W LED lights for sufficient penetration, depending on the angle of the lens, they are usually spaced 2 inches apart for proper blending of light. Without spoon feeding you, you can roughly calculate the required number of LEDs for coverage over a 3 by 2 ft surface. Ready made Check manufacturer specs and reviews. They usually provide recommendations.
  8. I always wondered where you macro enthusiasts find all the insects to shoot LOL. I got the D700 mainly for the full frame sensor and dramatic UWA pictures like this: 17mm on a full frame!
  9. LOL I was selling at the exact same time you posted this. I must sell it before Nikon releases a full frame semi-pro with HD video and 24mp mah, once that is announced, everyone will dump the D700 and drive the resale price down . Anyway I'm an early adopter, so I've had one and a half years of fun with it Besides the DX vs FX issue, the D90 image output is quite competent as compared to the D700 with the same 12.3mp, only that for obvious reasons, D700 images are super crisp and clean. And IMO the D90 is quite fun with the HD video mode. Can shoot movies with beautiful bokeh maciam Wong Kar Wai! Or D90 Just bought it earlier at $1100. My advise? For a first time DSLR user, get second hand units unless you are going for the semi-pro or pro range of cameras. Digital tools depreciate very fast and every couple of years a new model is introduced to replace what you have, this is especially true for consumer range DSLRs. I bought an out of warranty third hand D70 a few years back for $500 to basically play around and learn, and sold it 18 months ago for $350. Imagine if I bought it at retail for $1.8k and sold it at a loss of $1450
  10. Just sold my D700 lol.. Cannot take the pressure of everyone expecting me to take photos every time there is an event.
  11. I've never kept one, but to echo what everyone is always saying, keep it on the sand bed, not on the rocks. They are found on silty sand beds in the wild. Your nutrient levels shouldn't be a problem.
  12. Use industrial size plastic restrainers/cable ties. The kind you use when you kidnap people.
  13. So my wife came up to me and said, "Take off my shirt." So I took off her shirt. Then she said, "Take off my skirt." I took off her skirt. "Take off my shoes." I took off her shoes. "Now my hose, bra, and panties." I took them off. Then she looked at me and said, "I don't want to catch you wearing my things ever again."
  14. Maybe you have been dosing love potion no.9 instead of trace elements all this while lol. I second the suggestion to filter out the eggs for FUEL's experiments next time
  15. You can try posting your request in the pasar malam section. Failing which, if you are not fussy I can spare you a very small handful (paiseh cos I have very little to start with anyway) this weekend. You just need a little bit of it and it will double in volume within a week or two, given light and proper flow.
  16. Wah bro, your sales pitch is very persuasive. I bet you can sell ice to an Eskimo, then sell him a fridge after that to store it. Lol!
  17. Hey bro, that's really sad news! But I'm sure you will come back stronger. Your first IOS tank is one of the first threads I saw when I signed onto this forum, and I believe this pico is the third incarnation of your reefing hobby. Restart everything, I'm sure it will be nicer than before
  18. Wow it's like a miracle drug. And yup, the colony we got has lots of nudi and eggs. I dipped it in flatworm exit before introducing into my tank, about 8 to 10 nudis fell out, with a couple of baby bristle worms. It's been opening fully since day 1.
  19. LOL you like Cyanide and happiness too?! I freaking love them!
  20. Silence is violence A good man who fails to act upon witnessing wrongdoing is just as guilty.
  21. I agree with this statement, but there are a couple of things to note in this context: 1. Jack Neo is a celebrity, and has been in showbiz for over 20 years. Being judged is part and parcel of the line of work he has chosen. When he does good work, he wins praise and earns money from the public whether through advertising dollars, our time spent watching his programmes, or box office and DVD sales -- his success was built upon the time, money and attention given to him by the public. In this case, he failed to live up to the high standards of morality he set for himself (PAP grassroots leader, Cultural medallion winner, loving family guy). Nobody put him in the position he found himself in. 2. As the general public, we have invested time, money and attention towards Jack Neo's success. I'm not saying it is right, but it is hardly surprising that he gets roasted for failing to live up to his image. It is human nature to pass judgment, however hard we try to be lawful good.
