Huh are you kidding me or is this for real? I always recognise the setting of kelvins from 2.5k to 10k as range of WB, I usually shoot, check the LCD, then turn up a notch and shoot again until I get the right one. For serious, my sensor reads different WB settings from different parts of the tank. There is not 1 single setting I can preset. Usually I don't use the videographer's method of using a white card to set the WB, cos that is quite unreliable IMO. I never had such problems before using the LEDs.
-
Haha, no way man, I tried all custom WB settings one by one from 5000+K till 10,000K, that is the closest I get to what my eyes see. Dunno about your 110W cos it is in a mixed array, but my 60W actually casts blue splotches of light in the middle. I've shot Peace's tank with no such problem with custom WB. DVD and books, scale modeling :paiseh:

Basket, great minds think alike, I was already thinking of what to say when you posted that hahaha!

Yah the set up was too good to be true, I just had to go for the combo hits haha.

It's okay to suan within ourselves mah... Towards outsiders put on a united front can liao... Corporate 101 hahaha.

LOL! No smoke without fire! (Die liao, I better find somewhere to hide...)

Damn kay siao one, Ray... Call you gay, you don't blush, say older women like your kind you give three cute faces LOL.

Yah, don't tempt fate with a permanent holiday leh. If not future generations of reefers will never hear of AhSiang: The Great Warrior Poet of All Things XXX. In this case quite mild liao actually, at least he use electrical appliances as a metaphor LOL!
-
You mean the one in red striped top and glasses? That's Ah Siang lah!

In a brief moment of insanity last night, I did think of that! LOL! Clarity prevails haha. It is a combination of a lot of factors. But mainly it's reflected light from my coralline rocks. Check out the pics of corals in the earlier post on rocks without coralline, they look normal. The Maxspect LED on its own has a slight purple hue, and I find that the camera is sensitive to the blue LEDs which can be invisible to the naked eye. Example below, the 2 pics are shot at the same setting a few seconds apart, only difference is that I shifted the camera 3cm to the left to get the pink zoa, and picked up the blue and screwed up the second picture. Pay no attention to Ray and Jacky, they are lost in their own inside joke . Thank you! This tank will be my new toy for quite a while... I've neglected my other hobbies ever since I started planning for this lol. You didn't know? Purple-up is a highly recommended lens cleaner I dunno what to interpret from this... is it some PG13 joke? Damn, Ah Siang's influence is too strong...

Being the scholar and gentleman that you are, I can only imagine what kind of poetic word was censored out -

Wow bro, nice collection of zoas... No wonder I don't comment much in your thread... NO FTS!!! -
Thank you! 1.5ft cube mah, what were you expecting haha... Maybe my gf's mom will put a flower pot on the empty space when I get back tonight, can take a pic for you to see the scale haha.

Thank youse many many Hahaha yah man, organic frag rack. I'm just placing all small zoa frags there and let them grow on their own. Hahaha yah, that's the <2" inch YT I bought from SL after we had chicken rice that day. Cedric kept poisoning me with the benefits of keeping a small YT.... eat algae lah, cute lah, colour very bright la, eyes very nice lah... and I caved What looks small? Anyway I'm not very happy with the scape yet, the large rock protrudes too much to the front, and the bottom half is now very dark when I take photos LOL! I think I will end up like Jacky, do 10 rescapes a year

The return pump is in a different compartment, on the right. The skimmer is in the same compartment as the chiller pump (cold water goes to last compartment). Any problems that might arise from that? Seems okay to me so far.

Coralline algae lah! noob

New tank pic, including the custom built chiller housing: Pic of the overflow compartment: Laser cut acrylic cover for the overflow: Maxspect 60W LED clipped onto the tank (I'm glad I kept this light fixture, it looks very minimalist and sleek on the tank ): Yellow tang, bought under peer pressure from cedricang : FTS!!! Any comments on the scape? I love the large flat live rock (14"!!!), I can't think of any other way to use it. Quite cool as a "shelf" for my frags as it is right now lol.

Did a rescape yesterday, as always it is an hour or two arranging the rocks and many hours more cleaning up First, pics of the Bubble Magus cone skimmer which was delivered by Kevin last Saturday! Still a lot of micro bubbles right now, hopefully they will disappear after the skimmer breaks in. Second last pic shows skimmate 10 hours after switching on. Overall, the skimmer is very well built and solid. The subtle cosmetic finishing like notches and numbers for tuning the water level, rubber seal at the neck of the collection cup and the embossed logo on the cover really leaves a very good impression. Performance wise, will have to wait for it to actually pull skimmate before I pass judgement. Video of the skimmer in operation, for those of you with bubble fetish (Sorry for low quality of the vid. I shot in HD, but only have Windows Movie Maker in the office computer)... Skip to the 45 second mark to see the amount of micro bubbles in the sump: Specs from BM website: Bubble Magus Protein Skimmer BM-NAC3.5

Wow bro, it has been a week of hell indeed... Reading your account of what happened is really damn depressing. Wonder how you managed to keep a cheerful smile that night at RB haha. Nice meeting you bro, next time you need manpower feel free to call me too.

Hahaha then what are you waiting for, clean up time! After that, post FTS.
