wat happen to ur LS? r there still any LS or corals in ur tank? if no, suggest u do another water change and recycle again. or at least do frequent water changes of 20% for the next week or so. dump carbon into ur sump tank (high flow area) to absorbs the toxins and remove the smell from the water.

genrally, typrobin has given a good view of KR vs CR. kalk has been known too eliminate phosphates to a certain extent to. in the end, it all boils down to what u r keeping. what is ur calcium "load" like? a KR might not be able to catch up with the calcium intake in ur tank if u hv loads of sps, clams in ur tank, unless u add calcium additives seperately. KR needs no tuning if used with a top up device like the TUBBY. but as for CR, patience is required to tune it to the optimum level u want. juz me 2 cents.

hi wedgee. wow!!! nice looking tank. more packed than my tank b4 it crashed. from ur pixs, some of the sps, esp some staghorns hv not reached their full color potentials yet. u might wanna give some considerations to some of the clams on the sandbed and the monti on the top right hand corner. might not be receiving enuff lights. another thing i noticed is that ur 2 returns r aiming direct at ur sps? i might be mistaken. did not noticed any wavemaking device in ur tank too. care to share? but really a very beautiful tank. juz me humble 2 cents.

phoenix bulbs very cheap from victron.

use superglue on the bleached area. else frag it.

using stocking, u hv gotta do regular maintenance. most hang on skimmers release microbubbles back into the main tank. dun worry abt it.

try margarita snail. think a.k.a mexican turbo snails.
