  1. piglet, can't help but notice that u r a stauch supporter of AM.
  2. it is lobo alright........ dun expect it to expand like a prata though........ but if well kept will retain its excellent colors.
  3. wah liew...... so ma loo all the sec sch science throw back to teacher liaoz.......
  4. nope, a fan will help to a certain extent. still will be more efficient to bring water temp down wif a reliable chiller. heat contributed r always thru conduction, convection and radiation. for pumps: convection for lights: radiation/conduction (if i get my 15yrs old poor science right. reefers in sec sch, pls help if i m wrong) watch out for the evap rate when using a fan.
  5. aquabee pumps r submersible only right?
  6. CO2 is used in marine aquarium normally in conjunction with a Ca Reactor to dissolve the media to produce calcium ladened effluent. the media only dissolves in low pH and CO2 is used to achieve this purpose.
  7. dunno for aquabee 3000 but for aquabee 2000 the wattage is 18W which is very low. so no much worries abt it heating up the water.
  8. yes definitely. irregardless whether the pump/powerhead is for return, circulation or skimmer. the pump do not fully utilise all the power for it's usage. some of it is converted to heat energy which will heat up ur water. that is why most reefers prefer to go 4 as low a wattage pump as possible.
  9. ur 4x2x2.5 will be approx 550L true water vol discounting sandbed and LRs. ur sump will be approx 150L true water volume if u r carrying on using the same 1.5x1.5x2 sump, which i doubt so. total will be abt 700L, ur hailea is only able to cool 380L of water. IMHO, u had better go for a overrated chiller of abt capacity 1000L. moreover, u set ur temp at 26 which is quite low. chiller hv to work longer and harder. as for lights, as u intend to keep sps and clams, minimum, and i mean bare minimum. at least 2x250W MH.
  10. hmmmm...... 1 mantis and 4 evil looking crabs. how long has it been since u hv ur tank. there might be more.
  11. what's ur chiller rated capacity? 2.5 ft depth, depending on what u wanna keep. it might not be enuff for sps and clams.
  12. very nice...... keep them coming.
  13. polyfilter is an absorbent that absorbs most toxins. IMHO, try to do a partial water change asap. can add the recommended dosage for seachem prime. it helps to reduce ammonia too.
  14. bro, can approach dr evil. he's looking for them.
  15. thx seahorse, wish someday scarab, me, u and other reefers can exchange frags of rics.
  16. u mean u hv all but one of the 18 color morphs??? that color arrrrr....... think seahorse oso hv. that yellow one issit??? thx for letting me hv it from "that reefer" ........ heng arrrr....... that particular pc plus 80% of my remaining rics r in the TLC of my nanny now.
