solie maybe i really confused u. but it is entirely what i meant. ehiem 1262 for ur return has a flowrate of abt 900G/hr. ur skimmer pump MD 55 (assuming iwaki) has a flowrate of 1080G/hr. i thought the return turnover rate of ur tank shld at least match that of ur skimmer (according to what i learn from some gurus )........ that is to say that ur return shld be higher than 1080G/hr??? and not forgetting we we hv not take into account the head loss for return yet. juz me 2 cents.

bring ur ph up to 8.2 or 8.3 at the peak of ur photoperiod........ then monitor and see how........ anyway, 8.1 is quite fine, dun see why u shld worry 2 much abt it. btw, r u running a CR? coz that may be the source of ur low pH if it is not hooked up properly.

yes. IMHO, it will help to bring the temp down, as there is an increase in rate of heat transfer. but it oso means a higher rate of evaporation. eventually it will juz get to a saturation point as using fans to cool can only do so much.

from the looks of it, it acts as a nozzle. increase the velocity of flow, that's why u need a pressure rated pump to work with it.

mix kalk paste, use a syringe, get close to the rock anemone, fire away!!! juz take note of the surrounding corals....... ensure minimal or no kalk paste touches them.

IMHO, no use wild guessing. get to the root of the problem........ test for nutrients. esp....... nitrates, phosphates, silica, etc........

go for T5s, as they r able to meet most corals' requirements.

patient bro, cycling could not be possibly done with in 5 hours........ test again with reliable test kits....... once readings of ammonia and nitrite r down to undetectable levels, u will hv a substantial reading of nitrate levels. do a partial water change of 20 to 30%. thereafter, u can add in LS slowly.
