  1. most activated carbon for aquarium use contains PO4. a reading of 0.1 ppm of phosphate is already quite bad for reef tanks. try using phosphate removing media.
  2. of coz they will charge for every non lift level considering the labour induced. as for the size of tank right to be fitted into ur lift, u can juz gauge by making a rough measurement with a measuring tape of the dimensions of ur lift. plus some allowance.
  3. still left 2 when i left iwarna on friday nite.
  4. sigh....... those were the days, abbas, alistair, warren spink, craig foster, vana, jang jung, win aung, etc........ those foreign imports that we hold in awe........ nowadays, i'll juz stick to my TV set watching EPL, Tiger Cup etc. nevertheless, GO LIONS GO!!!

  8. yes, it really doesn't matter as it is juz measuring the pH of the effluent. what i meant was that if there isn't a probe attachment on the CR, u will hv to use a makeshift holder to house the probe, effluent flowing into the container and then into the tank. at least, that is what i m doing.
  9. what is the size of ur tank? can ur equipment tahan such heavy bio load? current water parameters? keeping reef or FOWLR? juz some points for u to consider.
  10. one thing i've noticed for sure. when i use to dose live phytoplankton regularly, copepod population was thriving like mad. abt 6 mths after i hv stopped, noticed that there was a significant reduction in the pods population. but it might be due to other reasons too.
  11. all shld be alright with each other except for the hermits which might attack the snails once the hermits grow out of their shells. This general compatibility chart from liveaquaria might be useful to u in future.
  12. never had much luck wif anthias....... can i buy u??? (since u r the longest living dispar) ....... joking. Happy Birthday.

  16. hope u'll make a comeback soon. so many hv been quitting of late.
  17. no mention of "special"......... inclusive??? i'm petrified.
  18. i hv posted calculations for true comp mechanical power rating (H.P) in a previous thread as shown. hopefully it will clear ur doubts. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...3044&hl=danfoss btw kareen, a chiller does not run 24hrs a day. it wld be more logical to assume 1/2 of that. true running time will hv to be dependant on quite a few factors, e.g. ambient temp, placement of chiller, pump flow thru rate to chiller, etc.
  19. otherwise known as solar head fairy wrasse???

  21. wait long long bro. u'll be getting Aussie Rules, Rugby, Cricket.......
