  1. wah kaoz, minsmarine........ must quote me as an example and constantly remind me of my heartache meh?
  2. maybe u wld like to check this out. good skimmer at a good price. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...topic=21773&hl=
  3. this is a real bargain. hv seen the multi SL in action b4. the skimmate is really good. upz for ur sales.
  4. pub standards: less than 15ppm of nitrate on the average for all areas in singapore.
  5. IMHO, use superglue or frag it within the next few days.
  6. DB, if got any available ric floridas up for grabz, pls be sure to keep them for me till dec. will definitely get from u.
  7. Hi DB, sad to know that u r taking a break from reefing. but in life, there r definitely more impt things to attend to. great to know u thru SRC. esp going to ur house close to the middle of the night with Austin to get the rics mths ago. Geez....... me am not too sure myself if i m gonna make a comeback as strong as i used to, since my tank crashed. Good luck, congrats of ur new born princess to be and keep in touch.
  8. errr..... GB, 3k includes the 80% of my sps that RTNed. anyway, there is no point dwelling over spilled milk. look ahead. I'm sure we will learn from our lessons and hv a better setup in future.
  9. No worries GB, my tank kind of crashed on me as well 2 mths ago and i am still overseas. wun be back till december. at that time, i felt sad and was ready to give up too. my LS casualty was estimated to be ard 3k and i had to get a new chiller. I'm sure u will pick urself up and start again. good luck.
  10. oic. then there will be another thing to take note. make sure that the flowrate of ur cannister is not too strong. actually, juz enuff flow for the rowa to be suspended in water. else, u will cut short the reaction time and thus deem less efficient.
  11. the problem is that wif socking, the efficiency wun be as good as a FR as the rowaphos particles r suspended. more surface contact area wif the water medium. but at least it will better than dumping in the sump wif a filter bag. another problem wif socking is the tendency of ur rowaphos to clump together.
  12. IMHO, yes. this is normal. as it is in DT. that's why the instuctions clearly states that u'll hv to shake the bottle every 2 to 3 days to keep the planktons suspended.
  13. then i guess u shld hv learnt ur lesson by now and try not to patronised it in future.once bitten twice shy.
  14. the recommended dosage is stated on the packaging of rowaphos. how long does it last? well, it depends on the phosphate levels in ur tank tank. once u get a reading in phosphate levels using a reliable testkit, then ur rowa wld hv oredi exhausted itself provided that u r using a FR. then it is time to change. for me personally, i juz dump 1L into my FR since i was to go overseas for 6 mths.
  15. waterlife octozin. reef safe IMHO. hv used it b4. it works for me. but a few dosage might be required.
  16. no. korallin CR dun come wif the recycling feature. but it is very easy to hook up one. juz use a tripod valve. cost less than $1.
  17. 10kg pack at $6 from petmart if i m not wrong. better call them up to ask.
  18. for me, i only dump polyfilter and GAC in my cannister.
