  1. 3 girls! no worries. juz repay me by introducing me to the 3 girls (if they r chio bu) while u r in japan. sshhh....... dun tell my fiancee........
  2. pm'ed u. regarding the price of iwaki pumps in tokyo, will post here again for the feasibility of getting from japan when i am done lfs hunting this weekend in Tokyo suburbs.
  3. there goes my chance to stock up with bali shipment at the end of the year.
  4. is diving in the south china sea off singapore waters always packed with incidents like this?
  5. u can use deltec or tunze epoxy. alternatively can oso try Selley's.
  6. u will be better off hunting down the mantis shrimp urself than to rely on a trigger. why leave things to mother nature when u hv control over the situation.
  7. do u hv a macro shot on that particular pc?
  8. if u dun mind the hassle, by all means go try.
  9. Oops...... no more dipping of hands into the tank and no more cheonging LFS u hear me?? take care bro.
  10. i used to blend garlic juice myself using raw market garlic. 100% pure garlic juice. but at the end of the day, it was juz 2 much work in addition to the already busy regular husbandry maintenance....... in the end, i chose to buy a bottle of seachem garlic guard.
  11. it may also hv to do wif ur acclimatization regime. IMHO, without proper acclimatization; most sps due to its sensitive nature, might not be able to take the stress due to the sudden change of environment and water parameters. maybe u wld like to share how u used to acclimatize ur sps? me poor 2 cents.
  12. yup, better see a doctor. u dun wanna lose ur "middle finger" do u?
  13. alternatively, u can stuff the center section wif LRs.
  14. r u sure it is a tunze stream 6060 on a 7091 controller? coz i thought the 6060 is non-controllable? nevertheless, a nice tank.
  15. yes. most likely algae on the glass in the sandbed.
  16. all the above-mentioned methods in this thread should work.
  17. seeing bubbles in the sandbed does not necessarily means denitrification is taking place. it may well be algae growth as well, giving off the bubbles u see (which i think is oxygen, etc) as a by-product. IMHO, i still feel if u wanna go for DSB, start from at least 4" to play safe.
  18. u can choose to switch on the lights in the refugium 24/7 or reverse photoperiod from ur main lights. either way it works. The macroalgae in ur refugium takes in PO4, NO3, etc. as nutrients, but to what extent, can't say for sure.
  19. SSB 3"? i suggest either u go minimum 4" dsb or berlin. 3" is like in the middle of no where. happy reefing.
  20. same here bro....... i in jepun for 6 mths....... i cannot stand the itch liaoz....... everyday think of reefing........ brain going kuku liaoz....... all i can do is to surf SRC to relieve the addiction. IMHO, if u raise the 400W MH higher, yes, u wld get a wider spread. but u lose out in intensity, then what's the point of having a 400W MH right? if me, i go for 2x250W. i m not a beckett user (at least not yet) but by putting the beckett return to the main tank, wun it cause a lot of microbubbles in ur main? juz me 2 poor cents.
  21. IMHO, I wun depend on LS (cleaner wrasse, cleaner shrimps, etc) to get rid of parasites. It has never work well for me. or issit those that i hv bought juz decide to go on strike?
  22. keep up the good competition for the well being of reefers' pockets here ya?
  23. i believe that's correct. took me abt 2 mths to tune it.
