  8. hv oredi looked thru it a dozen times, but still, the review is based on a test model and not a production model. prices in japan not much diff from spore. price of C8800 is S$1788??? siong ar!!! way over budget liao........ with that kind of prices might as well get the D70. but get D70 oso no use, newbie like me cannot put a DSLR into good use.
  9. can't wait bro. actually, i recommend u to go www.dcresources.com and take a virtual tour b4 u decide. it is by far one of the best online photography sites i hv come across. but i m very nerd with cameras one hor. dun even own a DC. am looking at the panasonic FX-7 or the Nikon Coolpix 8800 now. both comes with Vibration Reduction, which is what Canon is lacking in wif the exception of the S1 IS. but still waiting for the final reviews for the 8800 to be out. loads of difference btw the 2 DCs i hv mentioned, in terms of price and functions. can check for me if the nikon 8800 out in spore oredi? retailing at how much?
  10. bro, hv u check out the online reviews? www.dpreview.com www.dcresources.com

  12. there is no hard and fast rule to keeping the number of LS in ur tank. it depends on how well ur system is set up, how good ur filtration (biological, chemical & mechanical) is, swimming space for LS, size of LS, and many many more endless reasons. most LS could well survive without a chiller if the avg temp of ur tank is not 2 high and dun fluactuate 2 much. there r exception though, deep water fishes, e.g. cathalina goby will need temp of abt 25 deg to thrive in. dun think u can acheive a temp of 25 deg without a chiller unless u switch on ur A/C full blast. if u dun wish to hv a chiller, a fan might be ur next best option. 2 cents.

  19. look for alanseah, think he has one upz for sale. or was it a OR3500?
  20. around 27 +/- 1deg is good for me. of coz u can. i used to employ 4pc fans to cool down my water temp 2 till i upgraded to a chiller. for fans, there is high evap rate, likely tendency to fail when compared to chiller, limitation of bring down temp, etc. IMHO, there wun be any drastic change in parameters unless the evap rate is rather high and u hv a small tank vol. in this case, water parameters r rather difficult to maintain. i remember vaguely that only pure water evaporates. juz me 2 cents.
