  5. no worries william, i hv done some reading/research a couple of months back on the proper type of sealant to use for the construction of a glass aquarium. apparently, there is no conclusive answer. u can read abt it here. as far as DC silicon sealants r concerned, seems like it is quite debatable btw DC788 (Penetrator), DC791 & DC795. hope i did not dampen ur spirits in anyway, since ur tank has already been delivered. maybe DC791 is really the correct silicone sealant to go for after all.

  9. violet/purple tubeworms r certainly not rare and pricey, but it may well be seasonal (not sure). pasir ris L35D used to hv lots of them.
  10. i had the same problem as u do abt 2 days ago while i was recalibrating my pH controller. only that i was trying to calibrate between pH 7 & pH 4. i managed to get 7 but not 4. tried weileong's method but doesn't work. ended up buying a pH probe from SLT. everything works fine now. turns out my old pH probe was faulty.

  16. tried using seachem phosguard initially when i started out. had never been able to bring my PO4 readings down. gave up after 3 months and switched to rowa. no such problem thereafter.
  17. dun get upset by all these........ what i hv heard r purely hearsay, rumours, "wind" etc....... nothing concrete. juz sit back and see what the LTA has installed for us.
  18. bro, i really dunno. but the last i heard, the scrapping of PARF shld happen ard April this year. look out for it. but dun flame me if it doesn't happen. Maybe those cars that were bought under the COE + PARF package will still retain their paper value......... hopefully.

  20. i do not own an ozoniser, but i do hv a wavemaster pro from Red Sea. gave up on me twice when i was in japan. brought it down to Petmart to get it repaired. in the end, petmart replaced the whole unit F.O.C for me. that's what i call after sales service. much is dependent on where u purchase ur equipment.
  21. coz carbon removes most toxic compounds and heavy metals in water. giving ur water a crystal clear look by removing the yellowish tinge in water.
  22. ME salt is ard the range of 30 to 40 for a 6.2kg pack.
