  4. bro, noticed that ur MH is mounted on a plank which in turn is supported by 2 hinges for easy accessibility. seems somewhat risky as the metal hinges might rust, hv u consider coating the hinges with anti-rust paint, etc?

  9. juz my 2 cents, why be so bothered as to in which brand is the best to go after for in terms of skimmers? as long as u r happy with the performance, who cares? work within ur budget, spend wisely and be happy abt it. end of the day, it is ur monies and it is ur tank. btw, i m using a locally produced skimmer by cookiemunster. no flames intended to anyone, in any way.

  14. IMHO, yes. pellet food can contribute towards algae growth as most of these food contains traces of PO4. not forgetting the fish poo. efficient skimming, regular water changes, use of chemical filtration e.g. rowaphos, etc r juz some of many ways to combat high nutrient levels.
