  11. bro, best of luck with ur studies and life.
  12. useful life of polyfilter very much depends on ur tank's bio load, filtration, etc. polyfilter is not reusable, it is good in absorbing ammonia, heavy metals, PO4, etc; but it also absorbs useful trace elements, etc. as what amteo has said, it is good to keep some on stand by in case of an emergency.
  13. bro, cannot expect sps to be in a holding tank with 1x 150W MH hung almost 5ft away to sustain the colors over a wk. not to mention the water parameters.
  14. u shld be able to get it from DC Spore easily. ur purpose is to re-partition ur sump, IMHO, silicon sealants like Aquarium RTV Silicon, Selleys, etc will do the trick. but pls note that no matter what sealant u choose to use, the longer the bonding period, the better it is. normal recommended bonding period shld be btw 2 to 4 wks.
  15. if u guys had been there on CNY eve, u will find ur 25 buckaroos well spend indeed.
  16. IMHO, u r experiencing the "New Tank Syndrome". Biological filtration is still not at its peak or it is inadequent. be patient and do ur regular water changes (preferably with RO/DI), keep a close watch on ur parameters. enhanced mechanical filtration, e.g. efficient skimming will help reduce DOC in ur tank.
