hi buddies,
thks for the advice. need some more opinions though.
here is how i've set up my refugium.
refugium: 1ft x 1ft x 1ft.
5" grade 0 sand
11W 6700K light
fine filter wool
gravity siphon for downwards flow from main tank
with check valve intact.
Sicce Idra submersible pump for upwards flow to
main tank.
bioballs, seachem denitrator porous stones
to house aerobic bacteria.
cannister: fine filter wool
coarse filter wool
polyfilter
rowaphos
seachem phosguard
chemi-pure
AT, Tanzy and fellow reefers. what do u think???
main headache is the seachem denitrator. should i still continue using it at all? will it eventually become a nitrate factory?
i've tried it b4. mix strotium, iodide, trace element, magnesium, kalk solution in my dripper and let it drip. results, u will get very thick and murky precipitate. dunno what it will do to ur tank. so i've stopped doing that.
this means that octozin will cure whatever fish which is experiencing ich in the tank. u can c no more white spots on any of ur fish after the recommended treatment period. but then, ich will come back again if ur water parameters r not right again.
