as a general rule of the thumb, maintaining ur ozone levels thereabouts 380mV will be considered the best range according to a thread in RC from JBNY (do a search in RC, u shld be able to find the relevant thread, me 2 lazy to search). u raised ur orp by abt 250mV in 4 hrs??? that's too fast. ur fishes might not be able to take it. too drastic a change in orp parameter might cause gill infections and organs dysfunction. 0.5mg/hr of ozone per gallon of water will be a rough guide to follow. i went for >30 times. ur skimmer turnover rate plays a big part too. u will wanna fully utilise the capabilities of ur skimmer. no point getting a return pump 12x that the vol of ur tank but skimmer pump driving 30x right? HTH

Hi Ian, I hv had the same problem as u do. but i do notice a considerable reduction in "the algae from hell" after using distilled water for 10% weekly water change for a few months. hopefully, things dun take a nose dive.

i am directing my qns to the thread-starter whether the pest anemones he's referring to r indeed aiptasias. anyway, u can get rid of them thru a few means. inject kalk paste onto the aiptasias. get peppermint shrimps. etc....
