care to share the price for the distilled water?

most refractometers in the market r made in china/taiwan. not saying that they r unreliable (coz i m using 1 myself) but if u really want a branded one, can get the hanna instruments refractometer from petmart. but it's gonna burna $2xx hole in ur pocket.

check ur u-tube. there might be air in it, siphon might be broken.

hi, welcome to src. there r quite a few kinds of skimmer in the market. depends on ur budget and preference. cost can range from a few dollars to thousand of dollars. juz to give u a rough guide, 1. beckett skimmer 2. spray injection skimmer 3. needlewheel skimmer 4. downdraft skimmer 5. venturi skimmer 6. mazzei injector skimmer 7. air stone skimmer etc, etc, etc....... Try reading the sticky threads, they might be of some help. happy reefing.

IMHO, ur suggestion shld be enuff for a FOWLR.

1. did u wash ur grade 0 sand b4 putting into ur tank? 2. use filter wool, change out regularly. 3.run carbon, change out regularly. 4. run ozone, with caution. 5. regular water change. 6. check position of wave making devices, wrong placement might cause sandstorms.

Gouldian, Thx for the nice comments on my little furball. hamannbmw, i do agree with neokn & the rest of the reefers that owning a dog is a lifelong commitment. to me, it's like having a son. my austin is relatively easy to maintain. i bathe him once a week, with occasional brushing. his coat is well-maintained. austin is stripped every 6 mths or so to maintain his harsh coat. i give him one of the best affordable kibbles available on the market (i think.......), he's feeding on timberwolf now. salmon & elk meal. u (along with Gouldian too) r welcomed to drop by my hse with ur kids and c how they adapt to austin. if u ever own a dog, always remember to be the one to lead ur dog and not be the one to be led.

hi bro, i can go on hours after hours talking abt my little white furry son. here's a short write-up on westies from AKC. if u ask me, westie is a whole bundle of energy and fun all bundled into one.

hv u ever considered owning a westie? no matter which breed u eventually choose, juz make sure u treat it well.

look out for signs of gaping........ almost certain of dying.

sad to say, the thinnest i hv ever came across was a meagre 0.2mm thickness......... and it is supposed to be the the world's thinnest!!!!!! selling for abt 4SGD per pc!!!!
