    both products, more or less cost the same. algae on ur tank can be due to loads of reasons. PO4, NO3, long photo-period, high nutrients, overfeeding, etc.

    b4 my tank crashed last mth, i used to keep most of my sps under the conditions stated in my signature. i still managed to keep the sps thriving and coloring up. but it might juz grow slower and color up slower as compared to using 250W.

    IMHO, if u do that, yes. it will skim out more waste volumetrically. but more or less the same density of waste produced in 1 skimmer. juz me 2 cents.

    IMHO, not a good idea to tie sponge. resistance = more work for PH = more heat = premature end of PH. juz me poor 2 cents.

    depends on the vol of ur tank. u might juz kick off another ANN cycle.

    read the packaging when u drop by a LFS that sells it. unlike normal filter wool, it absorbs toxins, copper, certain trace elements, etc...... it will change color after a while. and when it is black u can change to a new pc.

    wah liew, i space constraint due to cabinet size mah....... now my miniature sump juz house my H&S my return and all the tee off's to CR, FR, KR, etc...... DSB is in the main tank and hv given up on macroalgae.

    me no experience wif star polyps........ maybe u wld like to ask Cedric, his star polyps grow like wildfire.

    great!!! next time when i moved into my new hse at the atrina, will ask u foe setup advice and lobangs liaoz. but different concept though...... me toying wif the idea of going for a 3 sided view tank acting as partition. anyway, nice tank!!!
