IMO.... it should be able to survive in a sandless tank....

gonipora corals are hard for bigginers to keep....... but alot depens on how u choose the coral itself...... must make sure it is opening well and all areas are covered by flesh(except the base)... dont not buy those that are showing abit of skeleton...... goniporas live in lagoons where there are mud alot of ot... so the water current should not be too strong..... and the water not too clean..... but thats not good for other corals........ if u get them..... try to put them on the sand bed... as this positon is impossible for it to topple down... and make sure nothing will topple on it....... general rule is choose the correct healthy specimen .... put on sand bed.... and leave it alone... and pray for the best.......

erm... wts684..... FYI sps corals live in areas that have light levels that is almost hard to replicate in aquarium..... so urs died probably not becoz of the light level,.... but i think u did not aclimitize it to your lighting level properly... and also ur sps can die due to many reason...... poor water quality ETC etc

yes you should...... i might be wrong........ so just leave it for a week aithout even touching it...... who knows with miracle..... it might just open up.....

erm ..... just to share..... i have a 400w metal halide with just 1 fan on .... and air con on for as long as the halide is on... temp very good....... even keeping sps now........ hope it helps.....

get a MH set from VIct*on ..... very cheap........ for ur set up.... i think 2 ....70w MH will be enough.... IMO

as long as people dont "PAO" you can already.......yup its a safe policy to keep a low profile..... nowdays also hard to get reptiles........the only reptile i have is a turtle..... its still with me.... its ben with me since pri 6.....
