Hi there, I got this brown starfish for a few months.... Recently it is turning white for no reasons... Can anyone tell me why? My the other blue and red starfish is doing well.... Thanks for your answers....

I got.... i think 2 snapping mantis shrimp in my tank.... came together with my live rock.... finding ways to get rid of it... vvv hard... Anyone can help me to get rid of it or want to keep it?

So far from experience, one of the Yishun shops is good. Ok that shop is near to the interchange and they have a shop beside them selling dogs and rabbits etc. The fish there is more stable. When the owner throws food in, 90% of the fish will eat. This is a good sign that the fish will most likely to survive.

Try not to use the anti-cholorine chemical... is not healthy to the fish... Bubble for 24hrs is ideal...

I have a blue and chocolate chip starfish also. But they are doing very well leh.... And Blue starfish is the most sensitive starfish..... And they are the ones that supposed to die the fastest..... If the water is something wrong, they will be affected too... but somehow they are not.... How do you spot a mantis shrimp? I can't seem to find it anywhere....

That starfish was never taken out of the tank at all leh.... Actually 3-4 sec shouldn't be a problem one leh.....

My starfish died tragically today..... This starfish is red in colour and is around 4 inches big. A few says ago its first leg started to drop off..... subsequently one by one by one all drop off.... This starfish is special . It has 7 legs..... before it died it left 3 legs.... all drop out by itself.... My question is this..... What can cause a starfish to drop off its leg by itself? I need to know more abt this kind of inverts so that the same thing will not happen....

Need some advice.... Is lava rock suitable for marine fish tank? Recently, I bought a sera "enjoy your saltwater aquarium"...... It says lava, tufa, dolomite rock are also suitable materials for the marines.... How true is this? Anyone got any expereience?

Yah.. one thing.. nearly forget.... before my clownfish die... I always saw a "white coating" on its body before it dies.... the "white coating" is like a dead skin peeling off our skin like that.... Is it the same kind of disease?

I've got starfish in my fish tank... Do i need to take them out before i put the medicine? And is this disease infect other marine fishes like damsels or foxface or angel etc?

Actually, I've tried bigger clownfish but still seems to me failed... Hoe do you choose a healthy one? Somehow those tat i observed seems to me healthy but when bring home... it just RIP...

What is lfs?

My Fish Tank is 2.5ft x 1ft x 2 ft. Got 13 fishes.... 3 chromis, 3 foxface, 3 striped damsels, 1 blue devil, 1 yellow, 1 domingo, 1 brown damsel..... Now the tank is stable.... but I would like to keep clownfish again but that will be after some fishes died... Any advices....

Can anyone share with me their experiences of keeping clownfish? I've tried many times but somehow, they still die after 2 weeks later. My experience is this : Everytime I bought clownfish, it just refuse to eat and stay on the surface for 2 weeks. Then the next moment it died. Is not just once but is everytime i introduce a new clownfish. But i have no problems with other species of marine fish. Can someone help?

You can try custom made by Atlantis Aquatics lifestyle. I got mine from them.... Cast aroind $700/= + filter everything incl fish...

Initially, my fish always died on the same spot also.... But this time sigh... nothing found... not even bones or fins..,, I saw some of the crabs... they are very small... You mean they can kill a fish even if is a small size crab?

I suspect is the crabs that are the culprits.... How does a mantis sbrimp looks like?
