Want to sell the above mentioned. Uses double ended bulb. Looking at S$150. PM me your offers.

Try ML. Think there's still some there.

Just saw aquaphos on promotion in Polyart and ML .

hi, ZeRoC00l my suggestion is to get a po4 test kit first. identify your current situation, i.e. your current po4 concentration in the water. test your topup water. leaving water overnight only helps with chlorine. there may be trace of po4 introduced back into your tank via the topup water. if the concentration of po4 is too high, the aqua phos could've been exhausted long before you see any results.

hi, ZeRoC00l did u test ur po4 with a test kit before and after? are u overfeeding? what do u use for water topup? ur result is rather weird since most of us see improvements after using aquaphos. however, i would recommend gradual po4 reduction instead of dumping lots of po4 removal to absorb all po4 instantly. u can cost shock to ur livestocks.

hi, ZeRoC00l Perhaps you can elaborate more on your problem and how you use it? I think you can expect more help with more information from you .

Confirmed. 500ml for $48 and 1000ml for $75.

most effective way to cure ich dieases!!!
birman replied to Anthony's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
Just sharing my experience with ich. In my experience, the best way to combat ich is to improve the tank condition. Perhaps instead of looking around for solutions to kill ich, why not take a look at anything in your tank that is not good? My blue tangs were like ich magnet but after i've improved the tank overall water flow and eliminate all blind spots, it never happened without any help of garlic. However, neverthless, in my experience garlic is good form of prevention. -
try using a SCWD to alternate the current flow. i've a 3 ft tank too and 1 of my pump is @ 3400l/hr with no problem. however, no direct blow at the corals.

Regal Angel with Clouded Eye
birman replied to Marine_Tank's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
leave it for awhile and observe. most likely it's due to injury. it happened to my tomato clown and my blue tang before. recovered in about a week without any treatment. just keep it under observation and make sure it continues to feed well. pop-eye usually happens to both eyes. -
Important to keep a good filtration and water flow rate.
-
what's the setup of your tank? filter and water flowrate? normally itch is caused by a poor water parameter which decrease the fish immunity.
-
Personally, i would connect the chiller where the water will be filtered to prevent the chiller from getting clogged. I would prefer also a separate pump for the chiller so that the flow rate will not be affected by the chiller. Some chillers has limitations on the max flow rate through and this will affect your total flow rate. It's better if you can post the actual model of the chiller and more accurate setup.
-
What is your filtration flow rate? Total water flow rate? You need to keep the filtration flow rate at around 10 times your tank volume. I used to have problem with itch and it went away after I increased my flow rate and improve my water circulation to prevent dead spot.

Those fans in a row are useless. It's not powerful enough to generate enough air flow. Try getting those single unit that are now widely sold in aquarium shops. Think it costs around $30-40 each. Very good. Can cool down around 3-4degrees.

Not really true. All my fire shrimps are roaming around even when there's light. Do you have any fishes that disturb it?

ML opens at 4pm on Mon. Tue-Sat from 12pm and Sun 1pm.
-
how high above water ur lighting is? likely to be from the lighting. try disconnecting lighting if it's near water surface.
-
using tripod? how slow the shutter speed you're referring to here? too slow a shutter speed cannot capture fast moving fishes. try bounce-off flash.
-
generally the suggested height is around 10" above water. no splashing on the light and allow wider spread of light. however, take care of light peneration too.

You're adding stress to the coral by moving it around too often. This can kill the animal. Did you put the coral in strong current flow? Bubble coral requires only moderate current. Too strong current will cause it to close up.
