hi blueterror, the ocean free quite quiet la...of cos i heard the most quiet is Rena airpump, but they max is 2 outlets and are more expensive...personal preference and circumstances i tink...like i have a cabinet, so it cuts the noise level also...if u no cabinet, i tink the ocean free still good la, at least its cheap and its noise is bearable to me... oh btw, if using it u shld always buy the 1-way valve to prevent backflow of water when u off the pump. buy 2 of them cos the ps runs on 2 airholes...

blueterror, that goby i got is the orange spotted one...abit blur and inactive fish but still i find it quite pretty anak, i also cant find the gramma or dottyback anywhere!

yeah tts it. orca 25 smallest one oredi. 21 bucks... y use 4-way? cos i kiasu lor, scared later need extra air... anyway came in handy as one of the airholes got water inside, at least got spare hehehe... alamak, i ask for pic now u ask me for pic? me no digicam leh.....

ya man... its like a battlefield out there... mi guess is now the clown is like the oni kind of swimming fish, so when more swimming type of fish go into mi tank, it will be less aggressive!

I understand some of us like AT keep cucumbers? I saw the black one (the sand sifting type) in an LFS today and I tot its pretty cool! i also knew that cukes can nuke but tot that this black one is harmless...but according to the owner, it seems that all cukes are potentially dangerous ie. if water parameters no good, they get stressed, they nuke...is this true? i had always tot the colorful ones are poisonous but not the black ones... oh and i heard the LFS trying to bring in similar cukes that are black, red, yellow......

Thew in my newly bot goby today and mi clown+blenny started going at him like crazy...poor thing... the goby proved to be most peaceful and didnt even retaliate despite him being slightly longer den the blenny. After the tag team, the blenny pestered the goby relentlessly until the goby wised up and ducked for the deep sand... wat can i say? the clown taught the blenny some kinda gungfu fighting!?!? bad influence man! me just see n pray..... cant wait to get some biggie to push this crazy clown back... do u guys think the flame angel will kick his a**?

hi everyone, just an update, mi bubble no longer spitting brown strands of goo... just to be safe, i moved it lower since its like so near the water surface.... anyway looks nicer as i can now see the whole of the top portion..... tks!

hi blue terror. i am using an orca counter current skimmer and am using the ocean free 4-way air pump (beetle) which i bot from pet-mart at oni $20! really cheap.... btw, i just changed the airstone to coralife one. much better! erm, if anyone else out there is usiing orca too, can let me know wats the optiumum depth position should the skimmer be? ie. water level till where... got pic better..... cos so far mi skimmer aint skimming much gunk...

based on the comments posted so far here, i am not sure whether to move my coral or not. Issit too much or too little light?????

hmmm Tanzy are u saying that the coral is eating the zoo thingy by expelling them (due to low light?)

i was looking and tinking and i tot "dun tell me its melting?!??!?" Phew!

My newly bot bubble coral is giving out brown strands of slime...I wonder is it normal? Its placed quite high in the tank with medium water flow... Appreciate your comments!

say guys, wat do u tink if a new 2feet tank is setup wif clownfish and anemones? 1. can there be other fishes besides the clown? 2. i tink can oni put common clowns rite, others sure slog it out...? 3. need protein skimmer?
