yeah agree. both are equally important cos i noticed mi sps color up wif an increase in lighting duration... i guess its quite logical - cant expect e dude to color up wif 1 hr (example) of lighting!

i reckon mi duration is sufficient. wont kill my corals but surely affected the coloration (up). care to say wat are your lighting duration? i noticed a variation from 8-12 hrs... is there a specific timing?

errr. porites is called finger coral meh? i didnt noe tat... oh but i do know stylopora = cats paw! hehe...veri memorable, that name.

i am asking as there is one for air to prevent the water from going into the air section but is there one that prevents water from going back into a pipe? cos i t-off water from my output pipe into my calcium reactor but when feeding, the pressure from the water will cause the CO2 to stop bubbling. this happens when i switch on the pump after feeding has ended. the CO2 will stop bubbling and i have readjust the bubble rate again. or issit due to my very stingy CO2 bubbling?

offtopic but i tink no harm since its great for our tanks. its cheap n good.

Sleepy headed me came home this morning from work and was looking at mi tank when i saw this worm like creature. tot it was a bristleworm but realised it aint no ordinary worm!!!!!! on closer inspection realised its the almighty, scary, powerful, most evil of the evils FIREWORM....... luckily it was hanging around the front of the tank, slow and easy crawler. i immediately put on 2 plastic baggies on my hand and grab my tweezers and caught it out while it was checking out my derasa... now its a plastic container......anybody wants it? i was wondering if NUS/NTU or even underwater world wants it for some kinda research cos its quite a beautiful creature and i hate killing stuff...... Never imagined this creature would be in my tank!!!!!

i understand from others that one usually gets some vinegar and runs the stuff thru the pipes via a pump. this is to eliminate calcium deposits i think? Questions: for how long must the stuff be circulated thru the chiller? how mani bottles of vinegar required? how do i know if the gas is empty? any other parts i must check to ensure the chiller is ok? Thanks!
