Hi guys/gals, i received this thru my email, pasting it here for all to see. Guess if we can, we can just help the poor old man.......
Dear Friends
If u ever need to get towels, why not consider getting them from "Ah Pek's Stall" in Chinatown Complex. For those who had watched Channel U on 'Neng Luan Ren Jian' show, you would have known the story of this pitiful old man selling towels, kid clothes etc in Chinatown Complex. This Ah Pek though 70 yrs! old is the main breadwinner in the family - still having to slog hard for a living and taking care of 2 abnormal daughters and family. He has to bring his two abnormal daughters with him while attending to his stall.
I believe he is earning a miserable income. After knowing his story, my friend purposely went to his stall to buy some towels from him... he could see that Ah Pek's eyes beaming with delight and Ah Pek kept thanking him non-stop. So, if you ever pass by the shop, please buy one or two towels ...doesnt cost much... one of those hand towels that my friend bought costs $1.50, which is the market price. We can help to make his day.
Here is the address - the building name is 'CHINATOWN COMPLEX'. Ah Pek's shop is facing Blk 335A. The wording '186' is prominently written & placed. The shop is facing directly opposite Blk 4 Sago Lane HDB flat and is just ab! ove the Chinatown Wet Market. It's very near to the staircase. The shop is opened everyday till quite late (around 10pm).
