hmmm alot of brands got actinic blue pl, but whether its actinic blue 03 is another thing... i tink coralife have, but quite ex....

does jbj have 55W 10k daylight? and pray tell me, who has the 55W actinic "true to the blue" 03 PL???????

is that PL or FL?

i also use garlic juice which i squeezed myself, but how come mi purple tang still got ich? the others are ok... or mabbe the juice not thick enuff?

hi everyone. just researched wif Nature just now. 2.5 ft light set wif 2 pl tubes 6500k is $100. can modify to 1 pl daylight (36w, 10k) and 1 fl actinic. e ballast. the whole set wif oni the pl tube is $120. I figured i get miself the actinic blue fl... do u guys think this is a good deal?

from mi knowledge, the FL version is the true actinic 03 one rite? understand PL also have true actinic 03? May i know: 1. whats the max wattage for 2 ft tube? 2. how much? 3. brand?

hi all, i am currently using the counter current skimmer and it works ok but no thick gunk yet just brownish water. I am thinking of switchin to the prizm as it will save some space for me. however i heard from an experienced reefer who said that due to my small tank size (38g), a prizm would be overkill as it would suck out the nutrients as well. can anyone confirm this? I agree wif Wei n Tanzy - IMO, since the tank is new, i tink adding the cured/uncured LR is good since the die-off from the rock will start off the cycle. besides, its a little inconvenient to get a few pails to put the smelly LR to 'cure' them... in addition, more LR shld help speed up the cycling process... a small shrimp may not be enuff to start the cycle too. just mi 2 cents
