tks Iona for your kind words. My clownfish is gone oredi. I watched him just now, he was still struggling at the back of the tank... turned to see mi corals, turned back and the cleaner prawn was tugging at him... had first tot he was cleaning him, but soon realised he was eating him.... faster use hand n take out the body... sad...guess its cos its mi first fish... he died like so horribly, eyes pale, body pale, like kana talcum powder like tat! oh and his tail is totally gone. the best part is, i dun even wat the heck the disease is, feel so retarded - cannot help him at all....

today is quite a heartbreaking day. saw mi clown "seemingly" stuck in the rocks behind. tried to help him come out - after some probing he struggled free, and i realised he wasnt stuck, but he was missing half his tail, couldnt right himself. dunno wat ate it... his tail n fins were ragged few days ago, n today he has oni half a tail. dunno y.... now he's limping ard the rocks trying to get into a hole. i suppose tts wat fishes do when they are gonna die... wat a sad day... feel like ending his misery. i noe at this stage theres nthg i can do to save him, i dun even knoe wat the heck is the illness about. just hope it will be a swift end.....

i was tinking more of aluminium or plastic. wood is very workable but extremely ugly in mi open-top tank... aluminium is good in tat it doesnt rust (not sure if its 100% rust-proof) and plastic is confirm dun rust, but while i tink i noe where to get aluminium, i dunno where to get plastic tat can be custom-made for me by the supplier themselves. moreover, alum is more drillable den plastic? also how much does it costs for a alum sheet measuring 30x10inches? how abt the price of a plastic material? tks!!!!

i have an orange sponge now and am afraid the my bubble coral will sting it, so i put it further from the coral..... but will it happen? do all corals sting? from wat i see, i tink oni corals like bubbles and octopus sting other corals rite?

this week sucks for me! mi fire shrimp died suddenly! it must have been mi water top up too sudden.... i am such a idiot!

hey guys, i passed by simlim square just now and saw a product that is selling now at the atrium for $40. its a unit wif a fan and a water bottle in it. apparently, it can blow cool air out pretty well! u could put ice water n get cool air. the promoter said the water in the bottle can last for a day. hmmm just wat i need to cool mi tank? no pics but go n check it out. i am thinking about it seriously. BUT! its got no mounting capabilities. given the shape is a box (not veri big, but not small mabbe 10x6x8cm) need to find a platform for it to sit while in use. My concern is whether blowing humidified air over the tank has any implications....? can anyone comment?

hmmm the coralife actinic PL is real stuff. at 36W, it costs $50-55. u can get it from pet mart or like erm Limpc said, aquamart is selling at $50. shld be able to fit the 2 feet tank.....

the fish now is not so black. and a bit pale...his eyes like put white mascara like that. seems like ich but i dun see ani white spots... also, he opens and closes his mouth rapidly and jerks sometimes (like spasms!)...mi PT recently died due to ich n i hope mi clown doesnt go the same way...funny thing is, mi angel+blenny+sand goby is fine. 2 shrimps r doing well too issit cos of mi garlic juice nt strong enuff? i squeezed it miself... tks in advance!

hmmmmm tts a good page on DIY fans! realli cheaper than buying from LFS! erm, but the design actually blows direct at the water, not like the ones sold that clip on the tank edge to blow the length of the tank...i wonder would the DIY one is less efficient? if oni can find a design wif a clip...hehe

just out of curiousity, i have seen the fans on sale at LFS and was thinking is there a better version where we could add water to it and have it blow COLD air instead? makes sense! like those erm box type of cooler-fan which we can buy....if oni can find a compact one for the tank... damn its 1:10am oredi! i got no life or wat? gotta go sleep...

from wat i heard from the experts, watt for watt the PL gives more lumens than the FL. tts why u see the PL is always brighter den the FL

yes limpc, tks for the tip... saw that coralife have the tube.. i found it at petmart too, they selling for $55! and i tot petmart always cheap....hey, they have this clause saying they will beat or match any price at other shops mabbe i can psycho them! hehe... was acherly fishy abt the true actinic 03 pl when he showed me... but after looking n looking, decided its genuine...
