Hi Bros, for those dosing the iherb nutribiotic vit c, did you notice your ph drops faster? I always have kh as high as 10-15 and ph around 8.0. Mg at 1260 and Ca at 420 quite stable. salinity is around 1.025 every time i tried to up the ph by seachem buffer to 8.2-8.3, the moment i dose vit c, ph drops. i'm dosing 1tsp vit c twice daily for 90g tank as some of my zoas are closed after i came back from my vocation. Now they are opening as b4. skimmer works as usual, no excessive skimmate. btw, how much fluctuation in ph is deemed NORMAL between day n night time for a 90g tank? 0.05? 0.1?

sorry bro, decide to keep the mp40. did it together with my house reno, but better just keep the tank standalone lah...now feel my tank a bit narrow(1.5ft) but no choice.....

just a quick question, FW or fresh water == freshly mixed salt water that of same or close to the tank water chemistry? or di water?

I have already dropped the idea many warned me that it will turn out ugly ...... now i just add another inch of grade 1 sand, and am with mp40w and on a higher position, now seems ok already. now the problem is that it seems mp40w is too powerful, i hardly can find any place for my gonio and even sun coral. My tank is 4x1.5x2 and is relatively empty (not much rock, see attached) so would it be better to switch to Tunze Nano Wavebox 6206? how is this compared to mp40w? Any comments welcomed. thanks now my tank is mostly zoas, will try out some sps later on.

hehe...my tank becomes cloudy recently and then found your thread... mine kh is as high as 5meq/l or 13, ph is around 8.18, po4 0ppm, Ca&Mg will test tmr I think i boost (blindly) kh too high recently...

the risk is there, but i suppose those stainless steel fixtures should not be that easy to give way the rock structure can still have holes for them. the whole question, will it be nicer? can still have sandbed actually, so in case the rock drop there is still some protection.. honestly i am not going to be that crazy, but may try to hang a small piece of rock if got time later

just came across this weird thought, has anyone ever thought/done of suspended (top hang) live rock in their tank? how about this, glue all the rocks to a nice shape in one giant piece, hang the rock from tank top (it should not be too heavy in water, right?), and with a bare bottom?
