as i read more, i find a few places mentioned that de-nitrifying bacteria needs a less oxygen environment. I have put my biohome plus into the chamber that receives the water from the overflow box, so shall i move it to a less flow area of the sump? btw, will filter wool become a nitrate factory if i dun replace it promptly? do you guys see any drawback of removing the filter wool? I do have a strong skimmer running. anyone used seachem purigen? Does it serve similar purpose of a skimmer?

i set to the short pulse mode/blue, after saving, the light is alternating blue and green. just choose a max speed and then tuning the pulse freq. i used to have lagoon/purple mode, but feel it too strong or too weak, and then given up on further tuning it....but the output does seem random as i gauge from the goniopora movement
