  1. ok, thanks bros but it keep growing, manual removal never removes it completely...
  2. sheng siong S$5/...used to be even cheaper, see whichever is convenient
  3. thanks bro for your input. yes, clown fishes supposed to be easy and in fact i have no problem keeping other fishes such as anthias, tangs. and btw, i didnt add in 12 at a time, 2 at a time and i do have 2 anemones. my intention is just to share, but it seems mine and fuel's are just two apparently isolated cases while the majority dont have any issue. Then, it's good to be true this way so i can *safely* continue with biodigest......just no more clownfishes, haha...
  4. Hi bros, any idea what is the whitish thing growing around zoa polyps and how to get rid of this? it's really damaging...thanks fresh water, coral Rx, iodine, manual removal all failed.
  5. Hi, Upgraded to LED recently and hence selling away my 1year old Delightings 4ft 4 tubes Retrofit T5 fixture comes with 4x 3mth old tubes and 4x 6mth old tubes, all ATI tubes. black in color. self collection at bukit panjang. looking at S$250. PM your offer. thanks. DE Lightings from DE actual
  6. you are correct on bioptim, but i dose vodka + TM trace elements instead to save a bit haha.....
  7. it looks like Brooklynella, or it is Brooklynella, haha....unfortunately i didnt take pictures but based on info from the wen, if it was Brooklynella, then the fish should die very fast like wihtin a day or two, but mine lasted around 4days.
  8. i know this is old thread.......but... coincidentally, i have also dosed biodigest for more than one year, and all the while i was wondering why is clown fish so difficult for me! i have added a total of 12 clown fishes, 4 alardi, 1 clarkii and all rest true percula, mostly from CF, so far only 1 survived for about a month, all the rest died within a few days with bacterial infection signs. This may or may not be linked to biodigest though. any other bro have similar experience to share?
  9. no pm received....sms me at 9-1-5-4-0622
  10. i got the one from iherb, collection at bukit panjang, going at cost S$25/bottle. pm me if interested
  11. mine similar, the manufacturer said as long as below 60c, it's ok......
  12. that really depends on how much rowaphos you put in and for what size of tank/bioload. personally i have dumped 1000ml altogether for my 90g tank and lasted for 7+ months, and now i am mixing around 150ml each of rowa and GAC and replace monthly, so far so good.
  13. i got the other today, poisoned by you, haha...
  14. the light write 50watt ==> it uses 50watt x 1 HOUR = 50 W.h per HOUR so for 5hours a day and for a month, it's 50w x 5H * 30 = 7500 Wh or 7.5kWh==> 7.5kWh * $0.22/kWh = S$1.65 It's generally true for lighting bulbs, however, if you are talking about equipments, it may have a higher wattage than what is labeled, and for things like chiller, or inverter aircon, will have a variable operating wattage and the labeled is the maximum.
  15. - jackywongto - 110W - G2 - new_new - 160W x 2 - peacemaker - 110W - pandagold - 230w - G2 ( shd arrive end of this week ) - kikobananas - 110W - G1 - justin - 160w - binosage - 60W - m12345y - 110w x2 - G2 Hi, can you guys indicate your lighting set operating temperature after X hours of running? mine peak at 44C despite that the surrounding air is absolutely much cooler ever since i installed ventilation fans in the lighting hood.
  16. up up...i'm also interested to know...no space for CR
  17. shouldn't be that fragile lah, any bro here can advise? i on/off twice both my return and skimmer for one hour each...
  18. ok, proven deltec is indeed good
  19. Thanks all. I'll give more time for the corals to adapt then.
  20. Found this in a china forum, just wonder if there is any bro in sg also having a fish only tank? is this tank nice ? Thread @ http://cmfish.com/bb...7...&highlight=
  21. hi jacky, how do you like the LED color compare to your previous MH? i find the Maxspect G2s are "too white" when both blue and white are on (and my corals look so dull) and "too blue" when only blue is on that i can hardly tell the actual color... i somewhat prefer the color tone under T5 that i used to have, i.e. 1:2:1 AquaBlue Speical / BluePlus / Actinic ATI tubes
  22. Thanks Jacky & Dr Evil. just to confirm, should the fan blow air in or out? i actually used fan to blow in but not much effect.... i've left my hood doors open these days till i got time to install/re-locate the fans
  23. yes, but two got big openings as large as the fan unit though not directly above the fan. It seems the 2x 110w LED generate more heat than 4x 54w t5 tubes...
