My water parameters: p04 = ZERO, no3 = 2to 5. test done using salifret test kit. is there anyway to further reduce my no3? WC 20% bi monthly.. getting abit lazy..so do it bi monthly instead of weekly. yeah my lifestock as follows: 2 clown 2 watchman goby 1 yasha 2 hermit 2 turbo snail 1 angel 1 yellow goby and lots of pods feeding.. twice weekly.. on Argent Cyclop-eeze Freeze Dried Pytoplankton (30 g) coral food: Zeovit Coral snow twice weekly Marc Weis : once per week Oyster Feast : Once per week Marine snow: Once per wk Prodibio BioDigest - 1 vial per wk Skimmer is Reef octopus xp2000 which somehow overflow and foam like mad without warning. I am using chaeto but no3 still 2to 5. anyway to further reduce it. zeovit reactor as filtration. i mean those zeovit rocks

wah lau i got poison by the pic liao. 2k for cabinet + hood + tank with 3 side crystal possible. however for the rest of the equipment. skimmer. try to look at the pasar malam, there are few reefer selling hns or deltec get those good enuff for u. unless u like to try new skimmer u can try reef oct cone xp2000. return pump. a 2nd hand ehiem 1262 looking at 120 to 140 dollars. then lights.. well maybe u can try those led if u are going for sps.. or wait for reefer decomm and get their lights at a steal but be prepared to pay 300-600 for a decent 3ft lights then wavemakers. this cost can easily add up to another 2k

hope so. well i am currently using 6100 x 2 + one 6055 all controlled by 7091 and ofcoz my wavebox is a white elephant sitting around the tank without much use as its too unsightly for my 3.5ft tank and how many vortech shld do the job? tank size 3.5x2x1.5ft ht. return one ehiem 1262 and my or6500(on standby, not running)

love this thread as having 3 tunzes is really unsightly. is vortech getting stable now. my tunzes served me well for the past 6 years without much problems.

My sps slim during WC is it stress by the process? basically my WC is 1) pour water into a bucket and mix the salt in for let say 5 mins then add the solution into the sump (the pump are switched off) and let the water circulate within the sump via skimmer and zeovit reactor for let say 5 mins before i switch on the pump to transfer solution to the main tank

yes it look like a FR. i rather use a zeovit reactor for biopellets.
