after feeding market prawn, my tank water surface has lots of bubbles
my skimmer skim out a lot of stuff too
i have no such issue with feeding mysis shrimp
thanks
my friend's FW tank pH 4, but her FW fish are surviving well, for years
if you mix 1 part ph down solution to 10 part tap water, the reading will be around 3 but no ill effects to your hand
furthermore those carbonic drinks we consume pH around 3 too
cheers
2x1x1.5(H) feet tank, using OHF
3kg of BioHome, 1" sand bed, 1 live rock
RedSea Prizm PRO skimmer, 36w PL light(5 hours a day)
ph 8.2, salinity 1.024, temp 26 degree celsius
currently house with 5" lionfish & 10" snowflake eel
what about you?
regular tuning and microbubbles are the main issue for me too
i have to tune almost everyday to make it less noisy, thankfully its a 10 sec job
happy reefing
2x1x1.5 feet, what about you?
i am using prizm pro - http://www.aquamarin.com.sg/productsDetail.asp?productid=850
not prizm - http://www.aquamarin.com.sg/productsDetail.asp?productid=848
cheers
price for 2nd hand prizm is reasonable, $60-$100 depending on condition
i am surprise and very satisfied with its performance
coming 2 months no water change, NO3 less than 5ppm
daily feeding with 1 cube of frozen mysis shrimp
cheers
google the eels you mention, none look similar
saw it years ago in a reefer's tank
iirc, he told me its purchase at marinelife(henry) for app $60
i think i will stick to snowflake first to gain some experience in eel keeping
thanks
anyone can share their experience in eel keeping?
did some research, notice they are escape artist
are they really that good like FW crayfish?
what species should i keep?
looking at hardy, active, slow growth, bright colours
thanks in advance
