  2. ic...my condolences...i think maxima clams are quite ok placing them on the sand bed...i follow wat i saw at RD, by placing them deep into the sand bed. RD has very nice maxima clams in their display tank...btw, the zoas in the display are not for sale...email to them...haha... But RD has a maroon red zoas on a tonga...quite nice...i will get it if not for my space constraint.
  3. Thanks Ray!...yes...opens up to slightly bigger than 50 cent coin....i din placed it to top..in fact its near to bottom shaded by a piece of rock on top. Peter: Yup got this bablicious ric from GO!..haha...i was "lucky"..no one there to grab them on that lazy Thurs afternoon...i recalled that day was a super hot day! Yeap...i certainly want more rics!... Btw, one of my yuma was eaten up by my acan echinata...though i placed it about an inch away...these acan makan almost everything except mushroom.
  4. soft coral....nothing special...just to absorb some nutrients. and my zoa...top down view. it looks beta under blue lights as i m using 2 white and 2 blues...but my whites overpower the blues. Might be adding 2 strips of blue LEDs to complement my T5.
  5. my pratas....did some rescape recently and now i placed all my pratas side by side...hope to add just one more red one from GO soon.
  6. yo...here's some pics for monday morning. first pic, my ric.....very happy with it...last night, i noticed a small head has sprouted below within 4 days...feel very shiok...will be adding for rics down the road...haha...
  7. looks like acan maxima or commonly called scolymia. need some feeding...like prata.
  8. Basically its one small room to houser yr sump, refugium and equipments....wow! clap clap
  9. think have to inject my blood into my prata.
  10. wah....where u got them?..i colour mine with red marker also cannot match yours

  13. wow wow wow...are these red pratas?
  14. clap clap...very nice harvest of blue ric and favia!
  15. dun think so...BMI looks normal...but has been there for some time...one grey and one green.
  16. i was thinking they are not for sale..so din bother to ask. Btw, they have 2 small mandarins left and small yellow tangs @ $35 each.
  17. they will simultaneously invade yr zoas...better take it now and frag into smaller pieces and place them in a separate tank or pail of SW. i just bought one colony of zoa from GO the day b4..also invaded by some nudis...but i was very lucky to spot them and feed them to my suns and remove their eggs.... but for yr case, situation is quite bad....anyway once all yr zoas mati...they have no more food source left, they will die and disappear.
  18. Just came back from RD....nothing much except some nice aussie micromussa. The zoas in the display tank very shui.
  19. hahaha..no lah..it just happened i went to AM last week to cclooklook and decide to get one to help absorb some nutrients. the weekly report, lemon got update ma...
  20. Aquamarin has maxima clams and some crocea clams...around $45 per piece....normal grade. I think CF or LCK got new shipment of clams.
  21. i can understand betw powder blue & naso, MH vs LED...but SPS and clam?? de...SPS usually place on top ma...clam is below or middle ma...and its 2 very different thing leh..one is hard coral, the other is a see-hum...see-hum can help to absorb nitrate u know....
  22. eh..i noticed yr see-ham (clam) the kar-zing also split...mine also same thing...i tot cannot make it liao...heng i din throw away...wahahaha! pratas are very greedy
  23. dun use treated tap water....the dechlorinator only get rid of chlorine and chloride, but not the phosphate-silicate found in tap water and our tap water has iron content inside due to piping. Though it is too little to harm us, but it is enough to feed these algae. the solution is to change water using DI and by siphoning yr sand bed...over a period of 3 days. as for the green alage, you can get sea hare to do the job...but once job is done you have to get rid of it either by giving it away or letting it go in the open waters.
