  1. our garmen is denying the fact that PRs are driving up demand for housing plus those pple who used to stay in condos now downgrading to HDB for more cash on hand...i think u dun need to have a Phd to find out how many PR applications are approved every 6 months from our immigration dept. i got a friend who stays in mandarin gardens for 20 yrs...he told me in the 80s, his condo tennis courts and swimming pool are full of jap expats...then in the 90s, came the koreans...now u know wat he told me...his condo swimming pool and tennis courts are full of indian expats... out of 4millions plus singaporeans....one million plus are foreigners and PRs...wat do u think? "nothing is everything, everything is nothing"...this is super deep...i only know "money is not everything, without money u are nothing but with God you are everything"
  2. Justin: Yes, definitely will be getting MORE anthias..haha...i still have turtle queen anthias, randall anthias and squareback anthias to add...hur hur...the sun coral u see behind is from comycus...actually i have one more sun coral...but ever since i fed one of the polyps with nudi which i caught..they stop opening... Comycus: when i got the lyretails from SL, they were already living peacefully in a small tank...so was quite alright...partly also, i already have a couple of female yellow anthias... Thank you for your compliments
  3. how's marine environment? is the salt mix soluable? meaning very little residue left behind...i'm using reef crystals, but always have some residue left behind...i have used oceanic before...and i like it..but have not tried ME.
  4. polyart is one place u can get all sorts of additives and brands...except zeovit...n if u need something urgently, this is like a 24hrs A&E...but some of their additives are rather old...so have to choose carefully...price wise, is rather cheap there...
  5. a picture of some the fishes on the right side of my tank... and my normal female yellow anthias, taken in the night...
  6. a picture of my dartfish...got them from RB during hawaiian shipment...
  7. some pictures of my lyretail anthias...male and female...doing very well currently...
  8. my black saddleback....having problem assimilating to the group of false perculas and a brown saddleback...no worries..will get u a playmate soon...
  9. ok...here's some pictures... start off with my skimmer... 1st day, not much skimmate...2nd day..a little dirt...guess my water and bioload still ok...
  10. and i will be "b"...canoot even put "noo" coz i just started my tank and only has 10% of wat he has inside his tank...
  11. looking at your stocklist...u dun sound like a NOOB...
  12. its freshwater fish....blk 20 joo seng rd, level 2...
  13. my mom's place has a neighbour that keeps his fish tank outside the house...maybe u can consider...place a 6ft tank outside your house...
  14. just keep searching...get an agent who is a friend to help u look for one exclusively for 3-6 months...i'm sure u will have some shortlist...
  15. then Mr X can find another SYT n start all over again loh...haha morale of the story is...not to get a gf same age as you?..is that wat u r prompting? lol
  16. by the time u r financially stable and career also stable...coming from a normal singaporean family background...probably mid-30s liao...for a guy is ok so long can steam and fuk...but for women...mid-30s, u will have problem conceiving and higher risk of complications from pregnancy... moreover, for guys..above 40 can still kao a gal in their 20s and early 30s...but for women above mid-30s..harder to find life partners...
  17. same here...why didn't think of that?!...and u probably have a 6ft tank now with lots of vietnamese zoas inside..
  18. marry a vietnamese wife and stay there...u can live like a prince there bro...n the women there is pretty...i'm talking about ho chi minh..just 1.5hrs flight away from sgp...can consider
  19. when i got my flat at queenstown in Aug 2007, it was $270k plus...exactly after 6 months i got my keys...property prices went boomz...n my neighbour got it at $320k plus in 2008. Now, my place is >$500k plus...and its 4room. I got a friend just sold his tiong bahru 4rm for >$600k and $50k COV...cold hard cash! and downpay a condo in paya lebar... Flats starting from jurong east onwards all the way down to tiong bahru...u can forget about it...easily $500k plus ffor 4rm...
  20. it's possible, if u r looking at somewhere in CCK / bukit panjang / JW areas...and probably, the flat's condition is not renovated...sellers' are not "stupid" nowadays...they know parents who r buyers want to live near good schools, mrt and amenities...they will ask for high COV.... i think in the end, u cannot have everything your way...cheap n big, near to good schools, near to mrt, near to amenities, near to parents' place, accessible to highway...etc... my personal advice is, for your 1st flat..go for 4rm first...afterall, it comes with 3 bedrooms and the difference between 4rm and 5rm is $100k plus...if one day, yr wife decides to stay at home, u can still finance it... yes, some of the older pte apartments in balestier (>10yrs) can get them below $800k... Jacky: i agree with you. Our cost of living is driven up by large influx of expats and PRs...the price of our housing is rising too fast...its not realistic...even my ang moh bosses are complaining our condos cost more than those in new york!
  21. either u guys drop outside of quality hotel and cross over to hoover hotel, down the slope..or tell the driver to come by thomson rd...but i wd suggest to take the first option if u guys r taking cab at novena sq taxi stand...
  22. even sengkang / punggol..the BTO there are over-subscribed...if u gonna pay $600k plus for a HDB..must well just get a pte apartment in balestier...n u can cheong sealife and reborn...
