i think its a customise stand. The original is clip on the back of the tank. Just make sure it is secure....you dun want it to drop into your tank while you are not at home.

you can drop some food into the water and shine yr torch to catch them..usually these hitch hikers are very sneaky...my crabbies only comes out when i m feeding my fishes and corals. do you have wrasse/s in yr tank...sometimes when wrasses dived into the sand, they will shift the rock also....

most likely are the crabs...crabs are very strong....this morning, my crabby topple my acan onto one of my blasto...n guess who won...acan...i have to throw away my blasto while my acan had a good meal...haha...

T5 has better peneration of lights than PL.

4 x 39W T5 will be better...coz LPS will need different spectrum of lightings to bring out their colours.

these are super hot babes...u need to grab them on shipment day or first hour of selling at LFS...look for superman montipora...blue base with red polyps...

after u mix with salt and let it settle for a day shd come down...the pH for NTUC is 7.

check yr pH level...low pH will make yr fishes and corals lose colours. dose trace elements will help...if pH is not the problem.

dun look like it...zoas like to accumulate sand particles to build their colony whereas palys do not.

maintained at 27 is good enough unless you intend to go for SPS, then 26 will be perfect.

you can approach fresh and marine for quotation...quite reasonable..one of our sponsors...

you can observe yr tank for algae...if there r no sign of algae growth...means yr nutrients is ok. corals will open up because nutrients are food source for them... if yr shrimps kaput..its a good sign yr nutrients too high...sometimes test kit are not accurate.

hahahaha..u must have been a lousy lier... anyway i lied to my CO also abt upgrading my tank..told her will only cost $500 plus for everything.

just tell yr CO that yr livestocks will die w/o chiller and you can't substain w/o chiller....n bluff her u got a second hand one that is dirt cheap coz he is giving up reefing for less than $80 and you will collect from that person....before she sleep this coming Fri or Sat, tell her u r going to collect the chiller....if she asked why so late...tell her that person works late and you can only collect after 10 or 11pm.

it depends on the number of equipments you have installed and how ventilated the position of yr tank is...assuming you only have the std equipments like skimmer and return pump and a couple of wavemakers and using LED ...hence, the LFS advice you 1/10 is enough...they r not completely wrong. main thing is you r using LED and not T5 / MH...very little heat is transfer from LED...the heat is mainly from the driver which does not affect yr water temp at all.
