  1. could be a case of "new tank syndrome"...due to drastic changes to the tank...i heard you have to slowly replaced the rocks, and not one-shot replaced them with new or artificial ones. Thus causing affecting yr biological system.
  2. the most beautiful LPS tank in Asia! where did you get that 10cm big shroom?...can cover almost my entire face.
  3. can mix grade 0 and grade 1 together.....
  4. This is gonna be exciting....i have seen a 6.5ft x 3ft x 3ft freshwater tank..with 3 arrowanas, fresh water seabass and huge catfishes just last week....i can imagine yours in my mind now....
  5. i think u need to supplement yr lightings with T5...dun think is enough with 2 230W maxspect...in terms of the length to cover 6ft end-to-end. Return power of 16,000 l/hr, sounds scary... Sump tank thickness, i would suggest 10mm - 12mm instead of 8mm..considering the amt of water and the vibrations caused by the return pump...to be on a safe side.
  6. You need some adjustments when you switch from T5 to LED...i have the same experience as you. You can either supplement yr LED with actinic blue T5 or fiji purple T5 or change some of the bulbs to blue. My personal opinion: LED works better with T5. Btw, Qian hu has brought in OT2 acadia...T5 and LED combination...its in their marine display tank.
  7. just came back from reborn...nothing much...place looked pretty vamped up for new shipment. blue assessor still available at $450....its a beauty...looks cute like a luohan fish, except this one is saltwater. the candy basslets is doing well...price is $1.3k for those who wish to get hold of this hardy bred....comes to you the minute you walk near...very tame...like a doggie. there's some very nice aussie zoas...but din ask uncle chua how much...was kinda rush to get some sand and rocks. aussie damsels is $35...
  8. Are you in the media / advertising line? your video looks pro man...haha...
  9. Forming an association / groups / council / corporation, you have more commanding and purchasing power to negotiate and "influence" buyer and seller relationships...it's a form of biz strategy. End of the day, objective is to meet the group's interest to get the best deal for everyone belonging to this group...a kind of monopolistic structure.
  10. you can check out Ray's thread also..his sunnies as big as a clam.
  11. where you got yr clam? from AM?...like wat Peter Tee says, dose phytoplankton and calcium...when you dose phyto...switch off yr skimmer for 15mins-20mins so that it will be not skim away allowing yr clam to absorb...off yr wavemaker for better results when dosing.
  12. feed them more often in the day.....supersuns easier to train compared to the normal suns.
  13. Drill a hole and place an exhaust fan there....either you call yr maker RB or sgbros to do for you...usually those ang moh reefers, they will spend money to have an exhaust system to suck out the heat like those use in kitchen...these are very pro set-up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EleyglEn9fM...feature=related You can check out this guy's video somewhere in the 4th min...he will show his lighting exhaust system I just find MH rather tempting to use including myself...but not practical in sgp.
  14. Get a blower with multiple heads to help cool yr MH...qian hu got sell, or the freshwater LFS at balestier...next to Nature Aquarium...opp thomson medical centre.
  15. feeling the pitch and heat? haha...if u r not keeping SPS, might want to consider changing to 150W.
  16. During the first 2 months of yr running, its not accurate...after the 3rd month, you will know how much energy yr new tank is consuming...coz sometimes, SP will just do an estimation if their guys do not come to your place to do electronic reading.
  17. you used Rio32 for 4ft for return...that's very powerful. yr bill is very low....
  18. Can be quite beautiful if you combine with gorgorian and other non-photosynthetic corals....and rics..of course..
  19. wow!!!....no wonder...why dun u switch off yr MH and observe yr chiller...night time is the best time to observe...when temp is cooler.
  20. Bubble King...but price wise is defintely very high...collection cup is HUGE....i think its very hard or almost impossible get a skimmer with a huge collection cup costing at reef octopus price and works like a deltec and have a chasis as good as a benz...if i am a maufacturer, why would i want to make such a product...sure go burst...
