u have to sell the idea of your reefing hobby to your family members first follow by your personal aspirations.....the best approach is to use the educational way...that yr kids will benefit from learning about fishes and marine life w/o having to travel all the way to sentosa underwater world and pay $28 entrance fee...and u have been dreaming of going into this hobby for a long long time....and it can help u to relax from a hard day's work...n assured yr wife that u will get everything second hand to minimise cost and to start off is a 2ft...and once u get the hang of this hobby, then will consider a bigger tank..like 4ft...slowly sell the idea and find a time when your wife is more relax...like after a candle-light dinner and movie...blah blah blah...

where's yr office? the nearest mrt station is novena...from there u take a cab cost u less than $5

u can go down to AM...they have nice live rocks there...cheaper...around $8/kg...their rocks are covered with coraline algae...otherwise, RB also have a lot...around $5/kg...my current set-up, i got some of them from RB...some rocks got sponge and mushrooms on them...

even on their shipment day, their place is rather quiet....

aiya...my parents also treat me like gi-nan also... when i first started my nano tank...i have to smoke my wife that my office tank is going to decom, so i can go into reefing to save some of the livestocks...haha...

in fact i bought one male and one female...but i have other female anthias of other species...so far ok...although the ratio shd be 1 male : 4 females...

RB also very quiet when i went down on sat...tot can cc wat they bring in last friday...seems like everything is snapped up...

yeah...when my mom came over to my place n saw my 4ft tank there...doink...start to question me how come i go n upgrade my tank...kitchen already so many things....blah blah blah....women r like that lah...when we pamper ourselves they start to nag...in fact, i dun need an aquatronica control...every now and then, my wife will text me if something wrong with my tank....just now text me to tell me my tank got brown algae appearing and my light socket loose... +100million....it's always beta to have your own place...coz its your territory liao...and so long yr wife is ok, np...but now is sellers' market...COV for open mkt is very high and a 3 bed room condo in a lousy location easily cost close to one million and above... dun worry lah...u r not alone...i'm sure quite a number of brothers here can share...haha...
