  1. most of the conventional overflow box are for 3ft and above, unless u customise one or use surface skimmer.
  2. If you think that way, which i guessed most pple are...means we are not chalice fanatics. That's wat i tot too. I got one colony of blastos touching the tentacles, nothing damaging so far.
  3. Honestly i dun think i will pay $2k for that as i dun m not that fanatic over chalice. It takes a chalice fanatic lover to accept that price tag just like there r reefers who are willing to pay for aussie acans. My chalice ate one of my blasto last week coz i placed it too near. I find them too aggressive for my liking. My elegance dun even sting my blastos even though they are touching each other.
  4. i think the maroon clowns usually host the green bubble tips.
  5. How's the LPS?..are they the normal quality or the premium ones?
  6. dun waste yr money on liquid food...meaty food is the best. for soft corals and clams, you can use liquid food.
  7. I would suggest dun patronise those shops located at dhoby ghaut or novena basement areas. The prices are ridiculous....i recall $30 for a turbo snail and $60 for a yellow tang. I only bring my daughter there to see the fishes and that's about it...full stop.
  8. Huh?! first time i hear this man...bio-rings on the substrate?! wazzda?? bro...the senior reefers here like lemon will give u better and honest advice...trust them.
  9. Yr tank height is abt 1.5ft and 4 T5 tubes for LPS may be a bit too strong. Probably change one of them to actinic blue or pro-colour which is mainly red. I used to have one of these anemone...be careful..as this particular type likes to move around and may sting yr other corals.
  10. i think the indian chief here wants to organise a trip to cheong LFS. i think we have the potential to snap up the goodies on one trip and ask for discount for bulk purchase.
  11. i'll be very happy just to own a similar one just like his previous tank in my living room. For the new tank, i think i have to dive inside to place my corals.
  12. How come you got bio-rings on their sand bed...i think it's not wise to place it there...should place them in a filter bag and into yr sump. If you use artificial corals, you have to take them out to wash and clean occasionally, as algae will grow on them.
  13. yr war coral colours are intense!
  14. i hope they are not the damsels i released last year...haha...
  15. Dun poke me...so watz next? watz the plan for west side reefers? cheong to one LFS and sweep all the stocks?
  16. 1. Let me feedback - People who likes to reserve stocks. Good and bad for LFS. Good in the sense, there r already buyers. Bad in the sense, some people who called to reserve, took more than a week to collect. I would suggest to LFS not to allow reservations but FCFS basis unless that gem/s is pre-ordered by reefer/s. 2. "Helpers who help themselves but not others" - they come snap up the gems and go, but make a mess of the place. LFS should not allow these "helpers" to help themselves in the first place. 3. LFS should be more patient with customers who want to take their time to browse. Sometimes, we dun have what we want in mind yet or too many gems to choose. 4. Suggestion to LFS to improve customer experience - serving coffee or tea and allow customers to sit there relax first, chit chat...haha..that would be nice. Just suggesting, dun bombz me.
  17. try to avoid the place when shipment just come in and they r busy unpacking
  18. That uncle can be quite particular..once i saw a guy touching the soft corals, he accused him of pinching the corals. Maybe it depends on how u look...hahaha...but so far he has been quite friendly towards me. Once he just tell me to self-service the corals and bring them to him to pack...din "F" me for contaminating his water.
  19. there will be...people will come forward once good-old emperor who has done a pretty good job rest in eternal peace.
  20. nice...how big is yr tank? Batfish needs a lot of space...one of my favourite since young.
