right now...i think my red tip is having "depression" as it refuses to eat ever since his good friend yellow tip is gone. have been trying to feed it, but refuses...so just leave it alone for the time being to let it rest. also my rock scape came apart when i tried to stick my suns onto my rock...i din know my suns were quite big until i brought them home....i recalled it wasn't that big when i saw it in GO...hmm...strange..haha... -

I think a beta strategy is to bring yr wifey or gf to that italiano place for makan first, order some wine for her...make her shiok first. Then b4 going home...tell her there's a lfs nearby and would like to take a look b4 going home. If yr other says, she wants to go watch a movie or kai kai after that, its ok...make yr purchase, and tell AM or GO you will collect another day.....steady bo?! -

No need to say sorry la..so formal....just shoot and ask. Yes, u have to hold yr coral in the water. The epoxy i used is the one by Selley's as shown on top of my thread. Does not harm yr corals and water. But there is some smell when u rub it into a ball, so i suggest washing yr hands thoroughly after u r done. -
Your tank is the healthiest and colourfulest i ever seen!!! everytime u post new updates...my temptation to visit LFS starts to erupt and i have to take medicine to suppress my anxiety.

Well, your green algae is a good indication.

No problem..love to help you on this as i have been sick of using those sold at LFS that do not work and just wasted $16 on one last week. What you do first is to use a pen knife to cut away a small portion of the epoxy (size of a 10 cent or 20 cent coin depending on how big is yr coral). Then you use yr hands to roll it up like a ball. Next you take yr coral from the tank and use a cloth to dry the rock beneath. Then place the epoxy that u have rolled up on the rock beneath..make sure it sticks. If you kiasu and its yr first time, probably roll a bigger ball to ensure it secures yr coral. Then decide where u want to stick on yr live rock and hold yr coral there for about 10 -20 sec. Apply some pressure but not too much otherwise, u will disintegrate yr coral. One more thing, make sure yr hands are dry when u r rolling the epoxy and while doing that, u shd feel it is sticky and there is some smell, but its ok. And thats it! -
moi moi giving it to comycus...heart pain to frag it coz its shape very nice.

Hey Reefers having problem using epoxy to stick your corals? I have found the perfect solution!!! Selley's EPOXY!!! only $5.75 at NTUC...as compared to $16 for D&D epoxy that do not really hold yr corals!!! I got it yesterday at NTUC and have used it on my blastos....wonderful product! cheap and highly effective and does not pollute yr water....no milky trace at all. Stick yr corals on yr live rocks within seconds. -
From mercedes to toyota? haha...yr nano still looks good with the zoa colonies on the substrate.
-
looks like its growing on yr "dead" coral heads....green algae usually is high phosphate or yr carbon dioxide level is high due to some "dead" spots in the tank.
