Sometimes the tentacles will shrink if that area has strong flow or after the lights are on / off. If yr elegance is still feeding and the tentacles sometimes expand back to normal, i think its ok. Why dun u shift its position and observe.

So far, the only LFS i can NEVER leave empty handed is GO. I have went to Reborn and ML w/o buying anything, but nvr GO....i wonder it has to do with the incense?

buy a syringe from pharmacy...small one is less than $1 and huge one for meaty feeding is about $2-$3. u can mix the frozen brine shrimp and rotifer together for a balanced diet..haha...and use the syringe to suck them after mixing in a cup.

try feeding it with frozen brine shrimp or meaty food immediately after u off yr lights.

U can observe the tentacles to c whether it is lively and try feeding it to c if the tentacles catches the meat and puts into the mouth or it drops off after a while. After considering last night and this morning when i wake up to c...i told myself beta get rid of it before it starts to deterioriate while i m at work. Now i have lots of space for more gems...haha...

i disposed my elegance this morning...think cannot make it & dun wish to take the risk..like wat u said "elegance disease"...it has not been feeding, tentacles are getting very lethargic and does not stick onto my hands when i touch it...and seems to be shrinking and not opening up like before.

i m also a cannister reefer!!! hahaha...its possible for marine even up to 3ft to use cannister...so long u can control yr bioload which is the no. of livestocks in yr tank and deligently maintain yr tank to prevent build up of nutrients.

Basically yr zoas have melted away....did you check yr water conditions? and any nudis feasting on yr zoas?

The main benefit of having octo is that, it will clear yr tank free of crabs and other small creatures that hitch hiked on yr live rocks.

Best is to check with his boss how extensive his travelling and for how long...most of the time, dun have to take drastic action to decomm...unless the company is transferring you to overseas office and stationing u there.
