  1. Had a small disaster today. Was on leave and received a call from colleague that my sump is overflowing. Quickly asked her to off my pump and chiong back to office. Turned out that the return pump hose got disconnected from the pump. So it created a little fountain in my sump. Luckily lost only 3 cups of water. I better get a hose fastener to prevent similar incident from happening.
  2. Oh yes, I've got my mobile fragging station too. In fact, the zoas are thriving so well up there.
  3. His recent cases are all died within a day of purchase. So chances are the water is really bad. Since there's no fish/invert in the tank now, it might be a good time to reset the tank like what bro slapper suggest. Change the whole tank water, wash the filter media and go through cycling all over again. This forum has good guide on cycling process. Bro yongjunzer, you can try reading the below link. If you start correctly, it'll be easier to maintain the tank. Rather than trying to fix the current tank that apparently has gone wrong.
  4. Fri I take half day. Will go visit you in the afternoon for the lesson. ;-) Dunno bro spkentchai can make it or not.
  5. Haha yes yes I would love to. I'm staying in AMK and would love to drop by your place. I remember you put your 'open house' schedule for this week in your thread. Let me go look at them. So far I've been to bro Cedric and Thairun place recently...and of course cannot resist getting some of their nice zoas from them. haha. I've also made a few major changes to my tank to aid the zoas survival. Have sold the Blue Tang and changed to sump tank for filtration. So far zoa colony has stopped the decline and showed signs of new growth. But that's only 2-3 weeks so far. Need to monitor further and meanwhile I love to learn more on how to make them thrive.
  6. Thanks bro. Unfortunately they are almost all gone liao. Left a few polyps which I hope I can keep them alive.
  7. Maybe raise the salinity to 1.023. Change 20% water n raise it slowly. How about PH? Do you have other fish/invertebrates in the tank now?
  8. You may have your answer why your fish keep dying if you tell us what is your water PH level and salinity. Do this first step to keep your fish alive.
  9. One photo shot across the front of the tank. The 2 new Zoas, Sky Blue and Green Hornet, are doing well. Open up very nicely.
  10. Am so glad to be one of the early birds. The two frags I've got are beautiful! Thanks bro!
  11. Just got another 2 frags from bro Thairun. Sky Blue open up 5min after putting in despite going thru CoralRX dip. Tough. The Green Hornet not open yet. So here's a pic of sky blue first.
  12. I think the babies started sprouting in your tank. They merely become noticable in mine. Buy sunflower, got orange (delight) tag along. Now still got buy big free small. Good deal good deal. lol...
  13. Is that an empty tuxedo urchin shell?
  14. Upz for you bro. Not only are the frags healthy and pest-free, the sunflower and blue hornet have sprouted baby polyp. Spotted them this morning.
  15. A small update. Introducing my developing zoa corner. First row - small fragments of green zoa dropped from main colony in the 3rd roll. Growing well. Becoming one small round colony now. Second row - newly acquired from Cedric. 1st is Sunflower with 1 polyp of don't know what (forgot the name). 2nd is African Blue Hornet, not yet open. 3rd is a pink zoa which I also forgot the name. Third row - remaining of my previous zoas colony. The polyps are growing back. Looking good for them.
  16. Haha I think the Ric has to wait for me to come back to office next monday then.
  17. Oh yay! Nice to know it's a Ric baby. But this baby has now tear itself away from the superglue on the rock and floated itself out of the betta box (my betta box bottom has holes for water circulation). It's now back on the sandbed in between 2 rocks. Should I leave it alone and let nature takes its course or take it out again and glue back to the rock?
  18. This morning found something 'hiding' in one corner of my tank. Looks like a baby of my Rics but I've not seen my Rics so small before. So cannot confirm what it is. Anyway, took it out n glue it on a piece of rock (hopefully won't kill it) n in a betta box now. Tmr flying off liao. Hope it won't die on me.
  19. Thanks bro. LCK is kind of far for me. So only when I go for "field trip" then I go there. lol...somemore I'll be travelling. See how lah. Thanks again.
  20. Yeah, I saw one flame angel in Cedric's tank full of zoas yesterday. That's one big motivation to give it a try. Didn't see any at Irwarna today. Else might not be able to resist the temptation. lol.
  21. These are my corals on the move...carried on the back of the urchin. Check out the algae patch on my tank wall, I purposely left it there for urchin to eat but it has left it alone so far. Instead, it almost consumed all my coralline algae on the rock.
  22. And now a week after the tang is sold, this same botak rock has now small pnk zoas re-growing on it. So nice to see all the baby zoas popping out.
  23. Till today, the cardinals are still not feeding on mysis or formula one/two pellets. Anyone has tips on how to get them to feed? They always try the food and then spit out. Meanwhile, I think I can sort of conclude the reason why my zoas are always dying off while other corals thrive. I guess my Blue Tang has been eating them. Cos when it is around, my rock of zoas went from this To this in 3 months...
