Hi bro, IMHO, clown fish are usually paired, not schooled. So very high chance of fighting going to occur in the near future. Your water temp is too high for corals. In fact, I had done a search in SRC that Gonio is one of the tough coral to handle. With 32 degrees, dun expect your gonio to open or stretch out. You can try putting somewhere there is flow to see if it improves the situation. I had tried many different configurations for my wall mount tank (which is hopeless for reef) but to succumb to just Live Rocks and fishes. So if no proper chiller, I suggest you avoid corals. Just my 2 cents worth of advice.

I use those chiller cubes or insert large ice cubes when the temp is very high. But good for only a short time n very labour comsuming.

Bro, my blasto managed to survived thru 31 degrees of water without any w c for 4 months or proper skimmer, or anything exp equipment but can see colour fading. Maybe it's luck. But i have decided to stop corals liao.... just see how this blasto do and try to maintain as long as possible. Now back to dosing all the calcium, Stronium, etc.....

I think those pink anthias are quite cheap n nice. I got around $5-$6 each. Those Fairy Tale ones are pretty nice too when in school.... not too ex too. I stopped Damsels after all died during my first crash years ago....

Are Anthias supposed to be hardy fish? I used to have 2 Pink Anthias but now left 1 and had been with me for 6 months alone and even went through of 4 months of hell and neglecting (due to Reservist, work and overseas all crashing in consecutive months from Feb till now)!! So ashame that all my corals went RIP except my very first Blasto that I bought (plus all fishes including a Blue Tang, 2 clowns, 1 Dotty back, 1 Boxer shrimp and of cos this Pink Anthias) still survive with unbelievable water condition. Temp was max at 32 degrees. Both my white and blue LEDs were down, left with the 21W florescent tube. No water change at all for 4 months. Full of algae. Not to mention is a ALanT** wall mount tank with no chiller but only a small hang-on skimmer. Now, just managed to do 30% water change on Sunday, replace my T5 florescent with 39W Atnic Blue. So I was really wondering if Anthias should be hardy.... any expert advice? I am thinking of getting more anthias to accompany this one but worry this old bird may not accept others liao. Sigh.

Nice landscaping with lots of swim through holes... I am a disaster in this! Lol. Me no expert, so can't give u any advise. But you may want to help me landscape mine cos mine is very restricted tank.

Impressive DIY skills bro. I too bought a CPU fan with LED initially but was too big to fit in the gap.... haha... Now bought another Laptop Fan that came with speed control and 2 fans @ $39.90 with protective casing. You can check out my thread. The Laptop fan can be found in Challenger... : )

yeah, it wont last that long. Hence, when i go to work, i would just switch on my LEDs instead of my T5. When the top up tank is running low, i top up with cold distill water (from fridge) support with 2 ice pack. The temp can maintain ard 28 with the fan on. Well, yes, super disappointed when the Elegance cannot make it. Well, when my water parameters can be more ideal, shall try again. In the meantime, I shall try more on the Brains and Blastos as they are doing better in my tank.

Hi bro, I notice dotty back is guilty of chasing 6 line wrasse. It happened to me too, but after 2-3 days of chasing, my dotty slowly leave my 6-line alone. Of cos, my 6-line can't swim near the dotty's territory. Have you got yourself a cleaner shrimp? I introduce one immediately i got my LS. Mayb you want to get one as well. It's always cleaning my BT, Algea Blenny and other's. : )

Thanks for your opinion... I did consider a second wave maker but concern too much wave to keep any corals then.... But your layout of the LR will definitely come in when I am tired of my existing scape... hehehe. Unfortunately, I dun have the luxury of time to do weekly water change. I try to change at least once a fortnight or monthly to worse extend. So far algea is under control liao, NO3 not so high. Will do the water parameter check shortly.... Will be taking some pictures soon, hope CNY eve got time to take pics... hehe

Hi bro, thanks for the advise. Previously the skimmer was too low in the water, the water kept overflow out from the cup. Now I lift the skimmer higher so that the collection cup is much higher than the water level and no more overflowing of water. I am thinking of getting a small plastic valve to control the amount of air entering... this may also control the micro bubbles....right?

Sigh, Elegance is bloating up more each day... as if going to explode.... had been reading but seems like there's not much remedy around..... Hope it would survive thru.
