NEW Hailea pump (model : HX6550) : $100 (bot at $135) Too powerful for my 3ft tank, used for less than 2 days. The flow rate is 5500L/H. Can be used inside or out of the water. Hence, gives out minimal heat 2. Atman powerhead (model At103) : $10 Less than a year old. Flow rate 1200 L/H 3. Weipro Skimmer (model : 2011) : $25 Less than a year but some dirt on the piping. Doesn't come with powerhead. If u take items 2&3 together, I'm happy to let go at $30 for both. Hurry don't miss it.......

Just to share : There r some Sally Light foot crabs seen at Kirin (Pasir Ris Farmway). Got some powder brown too (v resaonable price), bot 1 myself but my clown tang is trying to bully it now

take out the LR with the grape caulerpa and put it in the sump. Otherwise, sell it. Other reefers may be keen toput it in their sump to remove nutrients.

It was doing well previously but I did notice that its mantle was sort of torn at one place 2-3 weeks earlier. Couldn't find the culprit and it seems to be fine until it spawned. So far, my tank is fine & none of the LS or corals r affected.

last pics as my dig cam ran out of memory....shoots!! U can see the eggs coming out. it already clouded my whole tank...probably thousands over eggs as it kept spreading again & again. BTW, anyone know why it died after that?? I thought it was doing well & that's why it spawn. fyi : i have 2 more smaller clams & they r doing well, colouring up under my 150W MH.

Hihi, Manage to catch my clam spawning & took some pics. However, it died a few days later. Not too sure if it is due to old age or was it exhausted after spawning & go to heaven! Pic below shows it start to spray out its sperm.........the whole tank was milky & my fishes had a great time feeding.

IMHO : look out. The clams may be dying too. My 6-7" clam died on me a few days after spawning. I'll post the pics tonight when i reach home. What I thought was an achievement crashed on me when i discover my clam is dying. Think this is a natural instinct - it know it is dying (old age?? as my 2 other smaller clams r fine) & therefore released all its eggs & sperm?? Any comments?? AT : so sad to hear yr story, thought mine is bad enough.

Qchan & Jun Hong r right. It is a filter feeding cuke. IMO, no use at all.........that's my personal experience. the tentacles will come out when the lights r dimmed or off to feed on plankton. I have one filter feeder red cuke & one tiger tail cuke which clears the sand bed. the filter feeder will position itself near the current so that it can feed on floating plankton. If u r also feeding plankton to yr corals, it will be fine.Otherwise, u may wanna give it away b4 it dies.

use Ultra Life : Red Slime Remover. the red slime should die off the next 2 days. However, long term solution is to reduce feeding & improve the water flows.

patrick123 is right. go for UV, sure to work. but i disagree slightly on the vegie stuff. Yes, the koi will eat up the water lilies or floating weeds. But u can overcome it by putting the water lilies or any floating water plants in the filter compartments. The koi will not be able to eat them & u have some sort of nutrient exports to reduce changing of water frequently. Just me 2cents...... fyi : i got those floating plants from FarmMart.

IMO : if u r cycling ur tank, it should be fine. Most likely it is some sponge but it is roting away while yr tank is going thru the cycle. I experienced that too, try to took it out but not easy as it just broke away. so left some of it to rot...........haha...no need to use mkt prawn to cycle the tank.

if it is algae, AT's advise is correct. but if u r looking to clean up the sand bed, sea cucumber is the best one to do the job without shifting the sands. I'm using 0 grade sand & u can imagine my sand been shifted by my goby & wrasse. I also have a tiger tail sea cucumber that is clearing up the debris in the sand & it is doing a wonderful job. The common one most reefers here have are black sea cucumber which can be easily bought. The only dowside i know is that if the cucumber is being attack, it will throw out its internal organs which is poisonous. So aggressive fish should be avoided. IMO, the chances r rare as fishes r likely to ignore it.

It's one of the Sinapore's southern islands that is closer to Indonesian waters. Occasionally, i do bumped into Indonesia small fishing boat.

The end cap should fit ATI too as I have tried fitting Deltec T5 into it. Not too sure about the diameter but shouldn't have much diff. The Dymax ballast is able to light up other T5 brands but not as bright. So not advisable unless u have MH to supplement it. The casing of Dymax is too small to house the T5 eballast, so u need to house in it in an external box.

if it is not restricted, the best place (IMO) in S'pore to catch fishes & get corals r near Pawai.....I'm a ex boatman c u. B4 u hit the island during low tides, there's a piece of reef with a valley in the middle where small boats can drive thru'. U can actually walk or snorkel there. I was amazed when i 1st saw it 10years ago. However, it is a resticted zone so u can't go there to fish. Also at Raffles lighthouse, u can find clams near it's waterbreaker.....also restricted lah...so no point telling more........

u should be able to control the water level using the black lever at the intake pipe. did connect the air intake correctly?? If wrong or u didn't connect, it will generate some noise.
