Juz reviewed my 1st post & discovered a grave error in my post. I must emphasis that this DI unit cannot achieved 0 TDS even drop by drop. Can only achieve 30, down from 140. That is why i am giving away, maybe there are experts who can solve any issue & get it to work perfectly. PM me again if anybody still wants. The DI unit bundle is still available again.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

Another 2 more additives to give away. Brightwell aquatics pH+ & Caribsea AragaMight. pH+, 500ml left around 50%, to help increase pH in aquaria that have adequate alkalinity yet chronically depressed pH levels; while not intended to act as a permanent solution to such issues, pH+ may be used as needed until the cause of depressed pH is discovered & remedied. Aragamight left around 95% out of 16Oz, is a balanced source of calcium, carbonate & trace elements. Note: only for those who is still using it & works for them & they are ok with using it.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

Will be giving away this unit due to not able to achieve TDS of 0. Take note my tap water TDS is 143, drop by drop only can achieve. Will be giving away together with this unit another spare resin (18 megohm) & TDS meter. Both resin are wet due to changing to try achieved 0 TDS. Both used for a few times. Collect at west side mrt. From pioneer mrt to jurong east mrt or my house at Jurong West. Interested party, pls PM me for appointment to collect. Your name & nickname will be posted here after collection. Pls understand that this is to let everybody know that this is given free & to prevent any sale of this unit later on. However, it is OK if u intend to pass it on, free, to another reefer if u don't intend to use it any more due to cannot achieve 0 TDS. A new unit cost around $110, new resin 18megohm $30. My loss is your gain.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

Hi bro, i still have some biopellets to finish off. Juz wanted to ask whether i can still continue using biopellets while using polylab at the same time till my biopellets are all used up? Will this biopellets affects the results in any way? Example slower results, color of SPS is not the best that this polylab can bring out.... Etc. Thanks in advance.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

Still look quite a distance from the photo. Guess your anemone is looking for more light & wave. How far is the anemone now from the clam in cm?

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

By the way, this previous DI unit no need to drip drop by drop. Steady flow of water gushing out.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

I had checked to ensure that it was seated properly already, even changing to 18megohm one. I guess my tap water TDS is high, 143, & single stage is insufficient. I will get a 3 stage one next time. Currently using back my previous one which i had no problem, TDS 0, only that the resin have to change every 2 months at $50 per change & bring down to one of the LFS. No choice but guess it will be better for my precious corals. Thanks for your advice.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

I tried drop by drop today & the TDS still 32. *sign*. Gave up on this. Will be considering giving away this unit.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

The sexy shrimp not sexy enough, that is why kenna boxed. Or the boxer finds the sexy shrimp irritating, keeps on shaking whole day in front, also one reason.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

Bro, then the tap water there @ woodlands even better than AMK. Half of mine. .Maybe i might make a trip down to madpetz. Thinking of upgrading the unit. Or take purified water produced by my company where i work. Conductivity 0.2 microsiemens only.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

Bro wrasse & Bro mengyang, thanks.

RO/DI? What is that? Any reference? Is it the 5 stage ones, with prefilter as 1st stage, carbon, followed by 2 resin then lastly RO membrane?
-
Bro wrasse, i still have not figure out how to attach photo/ pics here yet. However, the link to this DI unit is here: http://freshnmarine.com.sg/estore/product_info.php?products_id=2747 The TDS meter used is supplied with this DI unit, exactly same as the one I bought few months back. It is aquapro or something. Can't really remember the name. The TDS for my tap water without going thro' DI is 127. Seems like AMK tap water better than Jurong West. My HDB built in Nov 1999.

Drop by drop! No, low flow. Ok, I later try out drop by drop. Thanks Bro mengyang-neo. So bro, one more question, in order to get higher flow & have 0 TDS, do I have to get at least a 3 stage DI or more?
-
Hi fellow reefers. Need advice here. I have just bought Crystal Plus (Only 1 stage with DI resin, no carbon) & my TDS readings is between 75 to 90. I have used 2 TDS meter & their readings tally. I have already flushed out 4 big pails of water & the reading, lowest I can get is 75. Don't know what is wrong here. Is it because the default package comes with 10meghom type DI resin & need to change to the 18meghom type? Or is it because there is no carbon before the DI resin, that is why the TDS is high or something else. And lastly, do we really need a carbon in the first place, does the resin not remove chlorine from the tap water? Really need help here, spend 100 bucks to get something that does not meet the requipment is not a pleasant experience. Thanks in advance.

Bro Kakani, 'arco' is which brand? Bro Sunnymac, you have a point there. Daily dosing could be more effective than weekly. But Bro Kakani says will cause fish to have ich due to high potassium level? Is it possible?

Ehiem 1264 will be good for your 4x2x2. Go for it.

Yes, Bro chercm. I agree strongly with you on what u mentioned above. One tank's solution might be another's poison. ZeoVit have a lot of mystery due to their founder don't revel what is being used inside their products. But I am just curious on how effective is their coral vitalizer & coral snow only. Don't intend to go full ZeoVite as I have already achieved ULNS with biopellets & rowa. Now looking for solutions to tweak coral colors. Currently using fauna marine but does not see much results with red & blue except green & reef vitality. So, maybe wanted to try out ZeoVit to see whether they can bring out the colors more. Hopefully will work in my case.

I have used the 3 color elements for 2 mths already. For the green, can see most obvious result that there is some improvements. The base of my SOTRM have more green now, & more green on my 'slimy green'. My lime green acoprora colors also improves a bit & my green monti explodes with the green color. For the red, no effects, at least no effects on my reverse sunset milli, maybe the milli have not fully recover & no effects on my pink birdnest. For the blue, very slight improvements on my blue digi. I dose weekly. Now changing dosing 3 colors on different days. Also weekly. However all SPS polys became longer extenstion due to addition of reef vitality, as posted on 20th Feb. After 2 months, all SPS became more 'puffy' with their polys extenstion & they look so nice with their polys swinging with the wave, as if they are saying 'hello' to you. No photos as I don't like photography, no good camera & my SPS corner not really yet, in a mess with orange & purple expoy all over the live rocks.

Thinking of starting this because BM skimmer has also came up with self cleaning head. The next brand i know is deltec. Interesting. So wants to know exactly how 'clean' can this 'semi' self cleaning head performs. Pls feedback for those who are using. Hopefully, there will come a day where we do not have to clean manually anymore. All self auto clean & dispose. Yucks the skim mate stinks. Thanks first for... all feedbacks.. before.... the smell... overcame.... me.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
