  9. brand new hopar 2x24watt T5 lightset.... with new tubes n stand... $40 deal bedok mrt next week?
  10. would recommend running few battery operated pumps/ airstones for oxygenating the water( agitate water surface to facilitate gas exchange) ---beneficial for ur lifestock if heavy stocking...it is also very impt for the beneficial bacteria on ur sand/ rocks and filter media... place the airstones where the rising bubbles will not contact corals.... massive die-offs due to lack of oxygen for ur beneficial bacteria might harm ur lifestock indirectly because its die-off n thus reduce population and capability for the nitrogen cycle... even though most of the time it takes less than half the stated 5 hrs to complete the maintenance, better play safe...the increased tank temp due to chiller / fan having no pwer to run on will cause oxygen levels to drop fast too...
  11. bro...how long have u kept the flame and has it been nipping on ur corals??

  21. the green centre polyp below the mushroom.... please help ID thanks
  22. if the spread of the flow is not direct then i think no problem for lps... my mushrooms, yumas and hammer corals seem to be comfortable in my 180 litre tank with hydor k3 aimed at back glass and k nano aimed at corals... total about 4000 litres per hour and 22 times turnover just by these 2 wavemakers... current by prizm skimmer negligible and i didn't include my 800litre per hour hangon filter...been using hydor wavemakers with no prob so far...the volume per hour might seem too strong but its all spread out and uni-directional so the hammer coral only waves gently.. --one impt note is the amount of live rock and structure also...if u have alot of rock then a larger turnover is needed....same if the rocks are stacked densely and especially against the glass... alot of water movement is lost.... just my noobie experience....
  23. jam-packed tank...the sign that i need a bigger tank...
