  2. Jon, where is ya pui pui AT huh ?
  3. Not from the same person you got from. However, i notice the color has turn from white to slight yellow with blue polyp, probably due to lighting and nutrient level.
  4. Update : Mandrain Orange x1 - Sold Awesome Blossom - Left last frag Black Hole Sun - Left two frag
  5. For this weekend, additional frags for Mandrain Orange ( one frag) , Awesome Blossom ( 2 frags) and Black Hole Sun (3 frags) is now available Thanks very much to all bros who has supported
  6. Lol...actually bro, there are some very low profile but truly hidden dragon sps reefers around locally. Sadly they have one by one fade off the scene due to change of interest or family / work commitment. The one whom i have seen his tank before is Glenn who stays in katong area, last heard he has migrated to Australia for good, btw do you happen to know him and got his contact? if so i would really like to get in touch with him.
  7. Hi Joe, in discussing this interesting topic about rainbow monti, (RM) imo it is important to distinguish in what environment is the RM being raised. I humbly defer with your view that large specimen of RM does not have the yellowish orange polyp colours. In fact, it is exactly during the wild shippment from which it is being given a name for it's overall (not just the new growth edge) dazzling brilliant rainbow colours ( yellow, orange, green with blue base). It is however, the challenge in keeping this rainbow colours that keeps the SPS die hard fans from wanting to retain the same vivid colouration of the RM. In most cases, wild shippment RM will looses it's overall rainbow colours within days (under poorer water quality), if not weeks (for more acceptable waters). That in my experience has got to do with the different environment which they are kept. As you probably might agree on the point that different sps specimen has each got it's unique color morphing ability and their sensitivities in reaction to both different internal structural growth and external environment factors. The RM similarly have it's unique requirement in able to retain / regain its rainbow coloration. However most often than not, the rainbow is only presented in the new growth for most reefers. In my own experience and seeing one reefer's tank with my own eye, extremely good water quality with intense lighting has been able to color up the RM with an overall orange polyp coloration with an intense sky blue base under a large specimen, and to a lesser extend manage to 'tune' it to a variation of yellow green and orange polyp color mixture (not just the edge alone), however it takes time for the RM to slowly color up and needs very god water quality, and i suspect one of the key could be a lack of some essential trace elements in this respect for most reefers.
  8. When there is a will there is a way . My best wishes to you bro, may your passion and enthusiasm for this fish breeding turns into reality and great success
  9. Lol...Ah Mike, what are you waiting for ? Come join the Bedok reefer clan lah
  10. Great sharing from Jeremy. For those with a big clearance between the tank and sum tank, it is a very good thing to be introduce to your reef system
  11. The LED module looks very cool. Is these modules marketed for commercial or hobby use ? As per bro Honkit comment, we look forward to seeing the performance of these expensive toys on SPS colouration !
  12. Are you using manual dosing ? Do watch out for the parameters on kh ca and mg so that you do not over dose
  13. Thanks bro for your support and glad you like those zoas Do come over with Daniel one of these weekends so that he can see his tank again
  14. Hi Terryz, Let me first state that my intention is not to blown the issue out of hand here. But it will be good for the members here to be able to see the actual comments posted by Mr Johan and let the others judge for themselves if Mr Johan's comment is indeed 'racist'. It is only fair for Mr Johan who has been labelled as 'racist' a chance to clear the air over his comment. If he is just stating a fact on his observation on the Chinese, he is probably free to do so. But if the comment does contain certain elements of untrue or obvious bias towards the Chinese, he has better explain it further or risk a permanent bad impression from reefers who has gotten partial info or from here say. While these forum is mainly for the benefit of sharing in the context of marine reefing, racism should not be entertain. So i urge that the forum administrator handle this matter in a fair and transparent manner, instead of letting the matter rest, leaving ambiguities.
  15. Huh ? I thought you already got your chiller liao ? Why not just move on with the chiller first and settle the other set up thingy for the mean time.
