  6. Hi bro, i agree with Thomas that the most likely reason could be there isnt much to skim. Your fish stocking seems pretty low and feeding may be also at the lower side right ? If you are able to make the skimming a little more dry, you will then notice the skimmate would turn darker. But whichever method you do (dry or remian wet as your current setting), as long as your coral do well, it doesnt really matter much. From my experience, skimmate usually turns darker after feeding, then eventually turn lighter color again. Do note that the amount and size of bubble do affects the skimming result as well.

  17. Sherman is right. Water quality is the utmost important factor if you wanna attain good color. Lighting will then become crucial after you get the water quality right. Suggest you do some searching around this forum and Reef Central website as there are numberous good article which you can fall back on for a good start in SPS. Alternatively, make time to pay visit to some of the establish tank in the local scene and you will pick up valuable tips to answer your lighting question. All the best bro
  18. Yes it is a birdnest family. A relatively easy and beautiful SPS. Your frag looks in good health so far. Given proper care, it would give you a very light turquoise green apperance. Something like the pic shown here Welcome to SPS reefing journey !
  19. The little indentation on the skeleton is soooo perfectly spaced for little zoas frags to start with and my imagination runs wild as i forsee all the twinkle twinkle little star all over it !!!
