Wow...didnt know your tank scape is so nice !
Haaha i know why you are happily into sps now, your sps PE is so healthy, can imagine when all the frags grow to a substantial size, awesome
After almost 3 hours of diagnostic with some physiotherapy using wii games ( tennis, bowling and table tennis ). I think Ketchup and Desi reef intoxication is slilghtly under control
Anyway, I would have gone gaga if I were to be the owner of their house, freaking big and nice for potential Underwater World size tank !!!
Yes Bel, i couldnt agree with you anymore. Hwee Bin is one of the very few real pro in the local reefing scene here, he has shared with me the importance of flow, which has a very significant influence on my journey with sps. It will be a good news if he is coming back for good ! He is one of the best
Wohoo...bro, i was just doing what i would do naturally lah
Very nice talking to you and were happy to share with you what i know, there are some very experience and nice senoir reefers around like hijack, thairun, lemon, LaW...and up and coming ones like Wilsontantw,Ahlee and other hidden dragons which they prefer to stay under water
I believe in kindness begets kindness
Eventhough the sps are just frags, by looking at the picture is already an enjoyment... because they all look so healthy and colourful, cant imagine if they grow up to colony size
Hi EngSeng,
Zoas in a way is a little like sps interms of the lighting and colour relationship.
Generally speaking, higher the intensity (assuming right spectrum), the brighter and intense of the zoas colour. But nutrient level could also affect the colouration, i.e. higher the nutrient, the chances of it getting brown is also higher.
So in the worst case senario where the tank is having high nutrient + low light intensity you will get very brown colour. Tweaking the nutrient level and light intensity will give you a corresponding result. So to get a very bright nicely colour zoas, your best bet would be a low nutrient water and higher light intensity.
Give it a try.
What bros mention is worth adhere to, I have been fragging zoas for quite a while and notice the effect when I accidentally make a bad cut that cause the zoas body fluid to ooze out, i can feel a burning sensation and at times a little uncomfort.
But if you got a completely healed zoas frag or colony, they are safe unless you unknowingly damage the tissue and get in conotact with the toxic juice from the zoas.
Nice chatting with you two . Just make sure your gf wears a glove when doing the fragging so that she dont accidentally cut herself hor. Also remember to dip your existing zoas, am sure they will open up nicely
Aiyoh bro, didnt know you injured your leg for this reason, hope you have recovered. Tycoon you need to join Kueytoc for his madness run liao and loose some weight ( actually I need to as well )... btw next time before unload coral call me along lah
Lol...KitKat SPS got alot, you will have plenty to choose from
But seriously, so far the radioactive birdnest is one of the very few sps that can withstand high nutrient level without turning to kitkat, best choice for sps starter imo
Thanks bros for all the very kind words it's only with the support from SRC and you guys that I find the continuing strength to do better
Just some initial update : s37 / s12 and z21, z8 sold
