Not at all Chris, you are most welcome

Perhaps you could start a thread under the softies section and invite a discussion over this matter ? Am sure there will be some knowledgeable reefers who are experience enough to help input some constructive suggestions and valuable insights into this interesting area

Hey Chris ! Thanks for your kind words You are not alone becoz I believe some reefers do have such issues as well...and I reckon that a few factors might have been the cause. Nutrient level , lighting spectrum/ intensity and stability of the water parameter (such as sg level) - each plays a part. For example, insufficient lightings or incorrect spectrum might cause the color to fade ( or even change it's color hue ! ) hence becomes less intense. However with such variances, this is still a subject of mystery to some extent, and I am also trying to figure that out too However, the good news is that under a resonable environment, as long as the zoas are placed under sufficient lighting ( not too much though ), the coloration would usually maintain. I remember seeing a friend's tank with gorgeous zoas color 2 ft under 250watt 20K color bulb. So if you are having a normal water parameter, you might wanna look at the lighting aspect

What crabs are good for sps?
cedricang replied to james72's topic in SPS and Advanced Reefkeepers Forum
This is a great piece of sharing by kkk121 and imo the info is correct. I have a a. Valida that slowly stn from the mid way and I cant figure out why... till I realise that one tiny hairy crab is having a good time eating the SPS. Once removed, the Valida recovered within a week and thrive -
